One additional thing to take note of is now that six flags and cedar fair have merged to become one chain they're no longer competing with each other for ridiculous records such as most coasters in a single park or height and speed records which is another reason why we probably won't be seeing any huge coasters like we did over the last 30 years.

So it seems Cedar Fair is clearing out the old and unprofitable (repair costs) to make way for new builds for the very near future. New builds have better manufacturer support for a longer period of time than ones nearing the end of their life span.

Great video🙏🏽 I definitely think family attractions and family thrill rides are going to be the majority of what we see however, the A+ top-tier Parks such as Cedar Point which is really a park in a league of its own as it's the company's love child because it's the only reason Cedar Fair which is now the Six Flags corporation even exists, so Cedar Point will continue to get major thrill editions in a regular basis along with Great adventure, Magic mountain and the other top tier parks imo

Here's my take on KK. Six Flags is now a part of Cedar Fairs and Cedar Fairs owns majority. As such does the company really need to have two of these coasters that are super expensive to maintain. Cedar Fairs flag ship park is Cedar Point and keeping TT2 and obviously the huge costs in what is going on now with it probably make KK not worth keeping and maintaining. On the flip side if TT2 is successful in 2025, then maybe all of this is in preparation for a makeover of KK for 2026 season. We'll wait and see.

Idk if you forgot Alpin Fury is opening in 2025 or you just think Raptera is more exiting, but B&M although very reliable and easy to maintain, are very expensive to construct. Aplin Fury will likely be half the price of Ratpera, and in my opinion, twice as trilling. You are correct that the overall trend is to product smaller, cheaper, and easier to maintain roller coasters and surprisingly still manage to be thrilling

Doing so will allow the company to add more reliable attractions in the future chain wide. Isn't any indication of what's going on in the industry in the United States as a whole however This

As I stated on the Canobie Coaster guy's video, I'll say it again here. I saw a random online poster floated a rumor a few months back that Cedar Point initially went to Intimin for the reimagination of Dragster and their proposal called for extending the layout and for the removal of Iron Dragon. And Cedar Point turned them down since they didn't want to loose Iron Dragon and went with Zamperla since they promised to reimagine TTD without touching Iron Dragon. Take this for a grain of salt because that was the only time I saw any mention of this rumor. But anyway, now I'm seeing actual demolition permits for rides surrounding Kindga ka. And if there is any truth to the previous rumor, perhaps Cedar Fair may be going with an Intamin reimagination plan for KK? But who knows, maybe Zamperla has already figured out all of the problems with TT2 and perhaps they will also reimagine KK. The Zamperla theory sounds far-fetched at this point, but who knows. Maybe KK will be left up for another couple of years to give Zamperla some time to perfect TT2. Or maybe maybe KK (and even TT2) actually will indeed get demolished anyway. All will be revealed in time. But as of now, I'm looking at the possible of a possible reimagination of Kingda Ka by Intamin.

I’ve also seen a few comments from people saying that only the original manufacturer can change the ride as per NJ state law. If this is true, only Intamin can do it.

It doesn’t mean that we won’t see demolition permits. Another thing to consider is that in the state of New Jersey no other manufacture can lay hands on a ride that was built by a different manufacture. In other words the only hope for Kingda ka is intamin

That rumor is false and is yet another prime example of "those who tell don't know while those who don't tell know". Odds are that cedar fair went with zamperla from the very beginning with their ride because at that time they still weren't working with intamin. The redesign of dragster didn't just happen overnight and took a few years of design and development just like the design for rapterra didn't happen overnight and took five years worth of design and engineering before it became a reality.

​@ThemeParkMotivation true and this is where CP and worse MM have strayed from that formula because with MM for instance if you're not interested in coasters then that particular park has very little to offer. Enthusiasts tend to be pass holders so the park makes less revenue on gate admissions and unlike Enthusiasts the average family of four spends more money while in the park on souvenirs and other items.

Family coasters are popular in the first few years but heavily drop off. Big coasters like millenium, dragster, king de ka, always have lines. The popularity never drops off unless the park opens a ride that is similar but bigger like magunum and millenium force. I think one of these parks need to open a coaster larger than falcons flight to bring the height record back to the coaster capital of the world. If that happens nobody will ever build a coaster bigger than it. It will he the last record breaking coaster.

I wish them or another park would build another intiman giga..Odds are a BM giga will replace ka which is kinda disappointing..BM hypers and gigas are basically the same rides with the same elements just placed in different spots.The only thing that changes is the height and speed. I'm general every model they make is just a clone of another at a different park,that's why they are Boring and Mundane

The company has NOT said ANYTHING about actually closing or selling off any parks. What they're ACTUALLY doing is evaluating what potential future additions might be made to each park going forward. Once again enthusiasts are jumping the gun here and taking the information available out of context.

It's not to like nothing good is happening in America for the enthusiast community. The same day the Ka closure happened permits to demolish Jazzland were revoked and the group for rebuilding the park is up next. Maybe Ka was our blood sacrifice to get Mega Zeph back (I say jokingly). As long as Ka had a proper sendoff if given that choice between the 2, Mega Zeph is definately more my type of ride not gonna lie.
