I have watched loads of videos of metal roofs going on and every one has screwed the panels down every few feet along the whole length of each panel. I think I have only seen you guys fixing the panels at each end. I'm sure the panels will rattle in high winds. Great work by the way. Jeff

Correct. It’s fastened into every purlin. We saved you the monotony of installing 5,000 fasteners.

Give yourselves a chance when you say ye have no sponsors.....time and life is young anything can happen. I have to say I love the name, the marketing is great, the tri star and that banging intro music hits the nail on the head (and I am not even American but Irish). I've been watching for over a month now and I like what I see. A hard working family trying to build a family home. Crikey, I have never seen land clearance like that on any channel. But and this is my advice is show the normal stuff, ye put a roof without one bit of chat, comedy or laugh there was no everyday chat to chat.....I think that is what I and maybe more people are missing or need to see. I hate saying this cos I am not an expert but it is realism & is what usually draws people in. I am so sorry for being so blunt....I hope you can forgive me. I will continue to watch. I am thinking ye and I hope ye suceed!!

No offense taken. We do have a good time and laugh and joke and this was even how it went. We sped things up during the roof process and just put our heads down and worked to try and get it done before the rain came in. It’s also a lot of work to move the cameras around and record and it just takes that much more time. With that said, thank you tuning in and watching and for your thoughts. Hopefully we can get back to regular banter soon. 👍🏻

This is where a Telehandler would come in trick those panel would be right up over roof instead of reaching out

A saying my father in law says, it’s expensive to be cheap. That always seems to be true for me.

@@TriStarHomestead lol my mom always said to me if you need 5 ft get 15 ft. If you need a boom truck get a crane lol I didn't listen for a while till I made those extra trips to the hardware or the rental shop lol 2x each I could hear better 🤣🤣😄😄

It's too late but..... when we did this, we also used a skid, and because of the bending of the roofpanels, we just stuck a 2x6 one side under the fork and one side over the fork so one side of the tin sent up higher on the "roof side" so it would get rid of the "bend" in the tin to get it easier up on the roof.
@TriStarHomestead2 ай бұрын
Good idea, that would have worked.
@johnrogers17942 ай бұрын
@@TriStarHomestead Remembe to tie the 2x6 to the forks so it won't slide....

Wearing shorts good on you mate so much cooler roof is looking really good, here in Australia we don’t fit the bits of foam at the ends what are they for

It is supposed to help keep our wind driven rain and moisture better than not having it. It would also help keep critters out like wasps and such.
