That first pork dish looked AMAZING. Filipinos have a pork dish called Pinakupsan where we basically fry pork belly in its own rendered fat. The longer it cooks, the crispier it gets. Now I want to try and alter the recipe by adding aromatic vegetables and different spices!

@@northside3701 I know Fish fry to be an event where they fry fish once a week and sell it… usually out there kitchen and you sit down outside in there back yard to enjoy it. Fried fish is the actual dish, but the event is called A Fish Fry.

Yes Jamaica does and the seasoning is def on point it seems like it's blend to perfection.even the hot and spicy food is intense but it's so good you take that flavorable blend in with all the heat and burning sensation but I keep eating it because it's just so heavenly good and perfection!!!! Similar to philippines FRied fish simmered in sweet and sour sauce with bit of carrots bell pepper and onions we call the dish ESCABECHE there is also the other version same method of cooking still using fish but the sauce is different which is simmered in soy sauce and pepper and sugar and a little water 😘

@@dawnb.1127 Yes millions of visitors come with billions of dollars that mostly end up staying locked away in the all-inclusive resorts and select tourist areas while many small business owners, vendors, craftsmen, cooks, farmers, etc. are, as far as I can tell, purposely being kept from direct participation in the tourism market. This is a outcome that dem either purposely allowed to happen or somehow overlooked due to their ineptitude and I don't know which is worse. Tourists go from airport to hotel to the tour on the pre-planned route to the pre-selected locations back to the hotel to the plane to dem yaad. The populace nah see that money unless you work for the hotels or at the locations they take the tourists.

You should go to Puerto Escondido, Mexico!! They have great food and amazing beaches. The mercado there has lots of awesome food. Puerto also has wonderful places to stay as well. I recomend Casa Costera they have amazing rooms and awesome hosts!

I always wonder why it's expensive in the states. Almost everyone including myself has an ackee tree in their yard. I normally pick and freeze them and plan to take some with me for my family in the states. The fact that they are plentiful I wouldnt expect them to be expensive...I wonder why.
