When I visited Devil’s Tower, I did the same hike you guys did and decided against the hike around the base for the same reason. A quick visit to the visitor’s center was plenty of crowd for me. I got some cool shots of the flag with Devil’s Tower in the background, as well as saw some serious rock climbing way up high. They were just a speck of color. It’s massiveness is mind blowing!

I walked the whole trail around the base of the tower. I actually ran a lot in the woods. Loved it!

Almost have Hulett Wyoming correct. Hule rhymes with mule, then just add -ett. So say mule -ett with a h at the beginning
