They get jealous because a lot of men are attracted to skinnier women, which is why they often attack aka bully skinnier women. They're jealous. These BP people want to be skinny, too, but are too lazy to put the work in. These same people don't want to date fat guys, either. They want to date the skinny or muscular guys and have the world lie and tell them that they're perfect just the way they are. Nobody is perfect. Everyone should work on themselves (not just physically) but mentally/emotionally, too. The most important thing is to try and be healthy overall. I was watching Kiana Docherty's channel about this very same subject yesterday. Kinda has the same points about the whole fat activism/health at every size movement going on thing. I think what it comes down to that, when we see obese individuals receive treatment for food addiction and and encouraged to love themselves, we see long-term weight loss results, and this method is more effective than fat hate. fat hate causes them to feel more stigmatized and send them more guarded, pushing back to the point that they even shun their own community members for deciding for themselves to diet and lose weight for their health. thankfully, some people on their weight loss journey see the toxic behavior for what it is. i think the most important part, overall, is to still treat obese people with human dignity and not see them as less than you. whatever reasonable thing it takes to make it easier for them to feel more accepted and loved, thus feeling more supported to start and continue their weight loss journey, i'll do. the science is just there, positive reinforcement works better than negativity. talk with your obese family members to start with, say that you're concerned, that you still love them, and that the goal isn't to be "prefect" or have some sort of other extreme body dysmorphia extra-skinny or extra-swole body (they love to use this argument, as if a diet will push them to the opposite extreme, ugh), but to have them with you longer and healthier in their lives.

I used to work as management of a plus sized company for about 7 years. While working there, I was introduced to a lot of people who claimed body positivity and were upset or insulted when I tried to improve my physical health. While the choice to eat poorly and become less active was all mine, I was around people who would enable me to make bad decisions and working there, I became the unhealthiest I’d ever been (about 270lbs). At one point, after I had been management for about 5.5 years, I decided to lose weight. After losing about 50lbs, we started getting complaints that me losing weight was “pushing diet culture” and “making people feel less comfortable shopping at our location”. Never did I bring up my weight loss or push other people to do it, but I did have a lot of people ask me and tell them that I was inspiring them to take control of their own lives, yet the complaints kept rolling in. I couldn’t believe how fast the people who loved shopping with me turned on me when I decided to do something that improved my own life.

Yea tbh I feel like it's the older gen z and millenials that are into the weird body positive thing. Like some accounts really helped me because they're genuinely encouraging you to love your body and by that I mean accept the fact that maybe you have hip dips, cellulite, strech marks, flaws, fat... As a 15 year old I used to hate those things about me, but now I'm feeling a little better. Concerning fat people, I think it's important to feel confident too but lying to yourself by saying that you're healthy when you're obese is just... And YES you can be unhealthy even if you are a small size but that doesn't change anything. They say that they shouldn't put skinny models on covers because they're making others do "unhealthy" extreme dieting but aren't you doing the sale thing? We just went from an extreme to an other, what's the point? Body positivity should be about loving your body no matter what and being confident enough to change if you want too because it's YOUR body, it should be about admitting the fact that we don't all look the same, but no, they made it into some hypocritical community... Like you're telling me not to talk about your body but then it's okay for people to call you hot, you're telling me we shouldn't Follow beauty standard or whatever but then you just look like any other "perfect" girl from the industry besides the fact that you're not skinny and that's not a bad thing, when you actually admit it. she said unrealistic beauty standards... no one is asking anyone to have a model body or to be flawless, being at a healthy weight is not an unrealistic beauty standard 😭 it takes time, consistency, a LOT of work but it's not "unrealistic".

Being a healthy Normal weight for ur age and height isn't even alot of work if u never over ate and just ate the right amount of calories since the time u were born. She's basically saying being normal is an unrealistic beauty standard

@@iidentifyasaPSLGoddess exactly! I was referring to people who are already at an unhealthy weight and are working towards their goal when I said it takes work and consistency, it's still not unachievable tho. my bad I should've made that clear 👍

It don't even take "alot of work" for most people ... Eveyone is different but I over do my calories yet still am at average weight. Most people are at average weight .... Not over eating and stuff. Not that hard. Again eveyones body is different and some people don't have a fast motabalism but for people who have a normal motsbolism and move around then to say of average weight isn't hard.

To be toned and to look like you workout take a lot more work but to be a normal body that don't workout isn't hard 🤷 and that's not shaming anyone who is over or under weight

I’m offended by the low quantity of dog pictures Michele. I demand more pictures of the dogs! Their cuteness must be shared with the world!

I'm offended that KZbin took so long to recommend your channel to me. What the hell! I'm hooked on your channel; binge watching while I do everything from cooking healthy meals, to doing the laundry, gardening and even painting. You are a huge inspiration to me and are the first person who makes me proud to be named Michelle. You are SOO AWESOME!!! 💜💜💜
