I know this is so difficult! *BIG HUGS* Even though you miss your mom dearly its so good that you have that special memory of her love for you. I had a similar experience....well not exactly cause nothing could compare to what you went through. My mom was 79 when my daughter was born last year on December 8th (also a C-section) she was able to come stay with my 7 year old son while I was in the hospital and she was able to see her baby granddaughter before she passed away this July. I'm so grateful that she got to see my daughter and have that special time with my son. Thank you again so much for sharing your story. Merry Christmas!

Glorious reds and hues of orange and yellow dappling the sky - It was an immensely bittersweet reminder of how fleeting and beautiful life can be. I'm so sorry for your loss. At the same time .. Vinny, I too lost my mom the year my son was born. She got to see and hold him before she passed away. That was 27 years ago, and I still miss her dearly. She was my best friend. She made Christmas in our home growing up, the cookie and fudge making, the crafting we did together. Makes my favorite holiday bittersweet. So, I fully understand how you're feeling. I feel like the birds nest and the spiders are a blessing of some kind and it reminded me that we had pigeons nesting in our tree thus year and 2 babies fledged. We planted the tree a few years ago and the birds are now using it which makes my so happy and brought me so much joy to see them ....probably the highlight of my year 😂 plus Landon Lampoon 😂😂😂😂

I agree so much with everyone on the spiders🙈I would've been out of that house so quickly until my husband had caught them all. I really do not like spiders...but 16 of them! That is terrifying! I also enjoyed Landon's Christmas lights section. Whenever people talk about outdoor Christmas lights, I think about the Grinch (specifically the Jim Carry version) where the two women decorate their house with lights. 😂 I'm glad you could decorate your house outside. Well done, Landon, it looks so beautiful! Ps. I was concerned for a moment when you "fell" off the lader🙈 The arts and craft section at the end was very fun and beautiful! I love the lights on your cottage outside - well done for securing them up there Landon! I share my house with spiders, and always put them outside if I can catch them. I also use the long hose thingy on the Dyson to suck them up in. I love your Christmas tree, and the lights look so magical on it. Oh my gosh! The spiders! 🕷️ I think that will be more memorable than the wet slide incident! 😂 I always put on ‘White Christmas’ while I decorate the tree, because I love that show but it’s sort of long to just sit down and watch. So we decorate the tree and laugh at all the funny lines and sing along to the songs (at least I do) and it’s so fun and become my tradition.
