@DaveDuzzit4 жыл бұрын
Sadly he was leading the company that was designing computers to obsolete themselves every 2 years, and using thermal throttling as a way of staying cool. This is why capacitors bursting, and PP bus shorts to ground are still a common thing even today. Which in their design means the whole system is dead, and their support will tell you its "water damage", and that you need to replace the entire machine. The OEM parts are impossible to obtain to fix yourself, and you have to be a tech savvy person to know how to fix it with compatible replacements. Apple is really best at making an OS, both efficient, and optimized. They would be wise to sell a widely compatible OS for custom builders, even if they left some premium features for their own hardware.
@SD-ft6gs4 жыл бұрын
@@DaveDuzzit windows users should probably not comment on things they have no real experience with apart from reading it in the news... considering the resale value of macs, you are clearly uninformed. (or at least you toe the wintel media perspective well).
@DaveDuzzit4 жыл бұрын
@@SD-ft6gs I've repaired well over 1000 apple products since 2005, and seen it all first hand. Stress tested them to ensure reliable operation, only to find thermal throttling to be a common issue with almost all of them. I couldn't tell you how many PP bus capacitors have failed, and resulted in a dead machine. Apple is just trendy/pricey for no good reason, and it's such that gives them resale value. Most of my customers had gone to genius bars to be told its water damage, and that the machine isn't reparable, only for me to have it working within an hour. Some are as easy as plugging in a loose cable. So telling me otherwise isn't very convincing.

Hi there. That is absolutely mind blowing, considering how expensive the 2019 Mac Pro really is. I liked what you said about what happens if your Hackintosh breaks? It's just a matter of ordering online or buying a standard part off the shelf with no hassles and repair it yourself. The 2019 Mac Pro is an amazing beast of a computer, until it breaks down. I am no expert and its great hearing from a professional expert as yourself, who can back up concrete evidence in what you say that makes sense. Thank you.

Exactly my question. Can you dual boot into OSX with the AMD gpu and still have the nVidia connected AND boot into Win10 with the GTX gpu?

Could you include links for Australia for price. Also a build suggestion: *Middle of the road gaming Hackintosh.* Something that's a decent gaming machine and can do reasonable VR, using ROG or MSI or similar MB, but can also dual boot MacOS reliably. A general purpose _do everything machine_ for the mass market/rest of us at a price that's not excessive (especially as a lot of people have to economise now, so getting one machine for everything can make financial sense). [I'm hoping to triple boot so I can learn MacOS and Linux and become familiar with them, to help support technophobes I know - and to game and maybe VR for myself (VR later when headsets mature a bit more)]. And also a video on the best _laptops for Hackintosh_ that are available _now,_ in each category (including something that fits the above specifications). I've subscribed and am learning the basics, but being able to design my own build is beyond me for now (and my 10 year old laptop is just hanging on). But you've inspired me to start learning. {Edit : just found your video on this kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJW8qpmlj8iagKs }

How is this configuration called, a Mac killer 2019 without THB3 support? THB3 is not only used for storage devices, but for profesional video connectivity, like Blackmagic and AJÁ interphases, among other companies. I cannot use this configuration for profesional post-production workflow without native THB3 support. Perhaps, this configuration would find its way-through within the gaming target users.

Dear Theresa....first of all well done 👍. I am an audio pro in germany and using macs and Logic as main DAW ( + Studio One,Cubase and ProTools as well ) My main topic is realtime recording under heavy load with 32/64 samples lantency. Typical situation are 60 Tracks+ with virtual instruments ( pianos. strings, drums etc ) and lots of plugins ( slate/waves and co ). The system has to be absolute dead quite. I need a lot of fast diskspace and ram. Graphics are not really importend. Logic supports in the latest version 10.4.8 up to 56 threats. Audio interfaces using 10gbit ethernet ( Moto AVB ). What is your advice. What kind of machine is your choice. thx. greetings from germany and stay healthy.
@gabrielecarbone82354 жыл бұрын
Never go ryzentosh for Logic, this is a build where a 9900 would probably be the best choiche as all the HEDT platforms have huge memory latency issues that translate in bad realtime audio performance. Better way to habdle this would probably also using Vienna Ensemble Pro aand make a slave PC to load libraries. You absolutely DON'T need 10gbit ethernet for the Motu card, as its never going to be bandwith limited.

Hi , nice video. I wanna ask how ll b d fcpx performance as ur machin doesn't support quick sync , so wat u suggest? Is it worth for video editing on FCPX? How u relate 64 thread performance with video exporting and transcoding , does it help? Plz post FCPX related benchmark results.
@MorgonautHackintosh4 жыл бұрын
Mac Pro and iMac Pro also does not have quicksync and do you think it's performance is weak?? Quicksync is good on low end hardware, but not on high end one.

@morgonaut just curious. You running Catalina 10.5.4 and davinci 16.2 yet? Just curious cause I keep getting crashes on start. Never even starts. Just upgraded to latest Catalina on my Hakintosh and latest davinci. - no bueno. 10.5.1 was fine with the older davinci. Lesson learned on my end

yes, I run 10.15.4 and resolve Studio 16.2 without any problems

Morgonaut I’m going to remove some waves plugins. Maybe it’s that. For some reason Maserati, and 3 others do not validate in logic x. Also. And tech support said. Bye. After I told them I was running a Hakintosh. The errors says something about my video card. Don’t know what a video card has to do with running plugins though. Maybe the plug ins are 32bit and 64 bit hybrid and really messing up the system. Thanx. I’ll see if davinci will start after I remove these plugins.

I said in one of my video some while ago how more and more important is to have gpu for running audio plugins and lot of arrogant aggressive haters complained it's not true because of their lack of knowledge!
@nicksaya4 жыл бұрын
do you need more than one gpu for this build? do you need separate gpu switch between Mac and windows? or is that just something you chose as option?
@MorgonautHackintosh4 жыл бұрын
no I don't need 2 gpus, but because RTX cards are better for gaming that's why I have RTX card for gaming

Awesome, love your channel, you my friend are a legend!!!! I need to build something like this for my recording studio upgrade rather than keep waisting my money on genuine apple products!!

@@MorgonautHackintosh :-) I think you're right i will have to dig deep and do it. The only thing is i wouldn't have the first idea of where to start with the config. Building it, no problem but my experience with actually config of Hackintosh is not great. I saw in previous videos you don't you actually offered to share the EFI files etc to a vanilla build could be done so easy. I wonder would you be able to do the same with this build? or I may even get a paid subscription on your site to help me commission one of these bad boys ;-)

@Cypher Music Can Thunderbolt 3 be added? i am currently running 3 x UAD Apollo 8's, 2 x Satellite processor boxes and 1 x Apollo Twin all on Thunderbolt 2. If i can somehow get thunderbolt 3 on this build then this is a serious possibility for me right now

Hi Teresa ! Did run this machine with Mac Os 10.4.6. I am looking for a music production hackintosh n o t running catalina. 2 friends of mine bought expensive MacPro 2019 und were running in many problems. CRAZY 🤪. I need a dead silence system with lots of ram and storage without monster GPU. Greets from germany

I said build an epic AMD and you said to much 💰. You did it! While it's real money it's not crazy money. Thank you.

this is not Epyc build, Epyc would be more expensive and I really cannot affor to invest so much money for each of my builds so often
