You're appreciation for wearing full-on shoes in pedal demo videos and demo-ing my favourite pedal in this video is why I give it a thumbs up.

+Scott W haha I agree, it's weird when people don't wear shoes in pedal demos. No one wants to see your crusty ass toes in HD

Couldn't have said it any better. Thanks!

Very nice demo. One of the better Morley demos out there. Oh, and I think your playing is fine, and you use of the pedal to emphasize your tone is well above average. Nicely done.

The Morley Bad Horsie 2 is the greatest. There's no button to step on; when your foot's on the pedal, it's on. There's also an optional EQ if you need to dial in the sweep with the tone that you're using. I see them for $50-$75 used. Built of metal in the USA! You can hear one on my "Heartbreaker" video ("Custard Pie" solo).

@ragnaroksama Haha, yeah, they're pretty old shoes! Thanks for watching! :)

@holstenman1979 I'll agree that it's not the best wah out there, but I wouldn't say it's as bad as you're making it out to be! I've tried the Behringer wah and that is a terrible pedal! Though I have to say, I do prefer Vox' wah pedals to this one. But hey, I got this cheap and it sounds good for what I need! Thanks for watching.

@JungleHyjinx Very true! They're easily my favourite wah manufacturer. Just a pity I can't afford a Bad Horsie II! Thanks for watching.

@PTKilowatt The fact that there's no switch would be a huge bonus for me! Though I'll admit some of the bells and whistles which the Bad Horsie offers aren't exactly vital! Though saying this, I'm no rush to replace the classic wah, it does everything I need it to perfectly fine! Thanks for watching!

@JepsonsGuitarCovers Not that I've noticed. There will be difference from having the pedal in the chain, but I've never noticed it! Whatever tone change there is with the pedal is pretty minimal. Thanks for watching. :)

great playing and a good review on this pedal. thank you

@FastEddieMandolin Thank you! I was worried I hadn't gotten "into" the pedal yet when I made this demo, but I'm glad I did a good job! :) Thanks for watching!

@qwertyarchex Hah, yeah some times! The first gig I played with this was a bit hectic, I planned to get really heavy on the wah for a solo, and ended up missing the switch a couple of times first making the solo sound pretty bad! :P Thanks for watching!

Yes! After the fuzz I can hear the wah, It sounds awful, but at least I can hear it. But before the fuzz (I mean guit->wah->fuzz->amp), the wah effect get lost between the clipping. I opened to look for a pot or trim to adjust, but I didn't find any. What I found is like 3 different "holes" in the plastic sheet we move with the pedal. I suppose every hole represent a different character for the pedal, but I haven't tried those, because there is a lot of bolts and screws involved... I'm lazy.

Hey, thanks. There's no volume difference that I've ever noticed and there isn't much signal loss either really!

@roryrockssocks You know ive tried the Bad Horsie, its a fun pedal but it really offers no huge advantages over the classic wah for most players

I bought CLW 6 or 7 years ago and use it only few times. Yes, it sounds relatively normal on clean. + maybe you can kill somebody with its very good and heavy box.

Yeah, the I'd love a Bad Horsie 2, but here in the UK it's rare to see them used, and if you do they're still pretty pricey. =(

Ah right, I always first thought wah was a guitarist's effect so all this funky wah stuff has been fairly ingrained into my mind for a long time now. It's not until the last few years that I realised how cool bass wah is! =D

I haven't tried mine with any fuzz really, but it definitely does seem to work better with a cleaner signal. Have you tried changing where you put it in your signal chain? So before and after the big muff?
@JepsonsGuitarCovers13 жыл бұрын
awesome man! but does it Cut any of your tone?
@alexisramirez7911 жыл бұрын
I just got one second hand. It sounds ok on clean, even with overdrive. But I tried with a big muff and it was like the wah wasn't there. Same happens with a fuzz face. It doesn't work well with high gain, or mine is broken?
@RoryButler11 жыл бұрын
Ah okay! Yea, luckily the wah works fine for what I need it to do so I haven't had to take a look inside it!

@ragnaroksama Wow, glad you're into what I'm playing! =) And you're in luck, I just happen to be a pretty big funk fan (my band's just decided to take a funk direction too), so if you like how I'm playing I'd suggest you listen to a bit of Hendrix (Band of Gypsies album is great for funky wah stuff), Early Red Hot Chili Peppers, Funkadelic and Bootsy Collins for a start! I'll try to get some funk covers up here using the wah too for you. :) Thanks!

hi great video! But when you turn the Morley classic wah it has a lowering of volume or the volume remains unchanged? :) and the pedal in off sucks much signal (such as the crybaby) ??? THANKS!!!

This is an old video recorded in quite an amateur manner - I'm sorry it was not suitable for you. This was 11 years ago and I am, unfortunately, not able to find the time to make an updated version. There is not a lot to say about this pedal though, it's a one function wah that works very well if you want a simple and effective wah pedal!
