on getting video ideas the Algorithm part of Morning fame is also amazing, finds videos and channels and subjects that are relevant.

Awesome, welcome back Ricky! For a channel of your level, I can say that the most helpful growth strategy is what I mentioned in the beginning with Morningfame’s new tool. You may not have used it yet since it launched to early access in June. Here is a quick intro with instructions to get access in the description: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4aziH13YsZ0nKM And I now have a full online course inside this tool as well. I hope you find it useful! From all the years studying growth strategies, I can genuinely say that this tool-supported strategy can be the key for you. Cheers! 😃✌️

Do you happen to know any sources that teach storytelling well? This is such a fuzzy topic and just very tricky to boil down to what we actually need to do to build a great story that actually fits the content we produce.

Great, very fair analysis that gives fair credit to Nate's approach. I'd watched Nate's video recently, then saw yours just now. Nate cannot of course guarantee a video will explode or go viral. No methodology can do that. But his methodology does ensure that your video has the statistically best possible chance to explode -- ie, that it's set up for maximum success. So it's really putting a higher floor on how well each video will likely do, it cannot guarantee a limitless ceiling for any video. But it doesn't need to do that -- it's very useful and it's absolutely solid enough that the clickbait-ish title is completely ok. 🙂
@Morningfame2 жыл бұрын
Yep! I 100% agree. This method here is really clever as I hopefully explained in my video well enough.

What do you think about the video he did where he advocates making non-performing past videos private? and... wouldn't changing them to unlisted do the same thing and protect your view count?
@Morningfame2 жыл бұрын
You are referring to his latest video, right? Yes, great thinking on the so-called detractors! If you have old videos that attract the wrong audience then removing them will make it easier for the algorithm to promote your channel as a whole. And their idea to focus on only the new version of a certain video that you repeatedly create - that’s relevant for educational channels - is a good one, too. After all the latest version will certainly give the viewer the best viewing experience. However, the latter aspect is probably a bit risky because this assumes that the channel owner knows how to properly optimize videos so that KZbin properly understands to send all viewers to the new version of the video. Maybe that is not easy to get right especially for small channels. But generally it makes a lot of sense! Same thinking with the anchor videos that give the viewer a below average viewing experience. And of course, I see no reason to not just make the videos unlisted.
@KayakhacksFishing2 жыл бұрын
@@Morningfame I'm looking thru my analytics. I have almost 800 videos. Based on the above, I think I should unlist any video with less than 1000 views, is older than 1 year, and produced 0 subscribers. lol... also unlist any video where I lost subscribers. Do you agree?
@Morningfame2 жыл бұрын
@@KayakhacksFishing Since you have so many videos, it’s tempting to apply such a rule for which ones to remove. But better rewatch their video. They give exact instructions how to do it. Especially keep in mind that old versions of the same video should send viewers to the new version for a month before your remove it.

@@Morningfame Thanks!
@TheThinkersBible2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Even with only 9 videos published I'm planning to re-release my first one next year. I'll make the current oneUnlisted, then remove it when my overall view count is high enough that it won't hurt my stats. When my channel grows I'll follow the same principle, but of course my threshold view count for deleting each video will be higher. Also the video will need to be > 1 year old so removing it won't impact watch time.

Do you have a course for long tail keyword to understand, we have hard time ranking and get to 1k and higher
@Morningfame2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I do. :) For small channels it is oftentimes difficult to find the right search terms that give you DDDB grades or better in the Morningfame keyword tool. If that is your issue then check out this tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXXIdaacncx8hZI It teaches you several techniques and long tail keywords is one of them. If you actually have no issue finding search terms with DDDB grades or better then check out this troubleshooting guide that helps you identify any other step that you might need to improve on: morningfa.me/blog/troubleshooting-your-youtube-seo Let me know if you have any further questions about it. See ya, Nico

I don't know about others, but I did not actually take this as a GUARANTEE, but rather a way to give my videos a much better chance at success! I do think that these steps are a great idea, BUT, I .......NEVER .....allow myself to fall into the trap of thinking my videos are going to get 10 million views on the first day! The person you should REALLY check out is Robert Benjamin !!!! Robert keeps posting about how to get tons of subscribers in really short amount of time and way more outragious claims than Nate has ever tried to make!
@Morningfame2 жыл бұрын
Indeed, a 100% guarantee is non-existent. And Nate really delivers on getting close to this. I didn’t show it but he states that the chances are about 80%. And given his steps - when followed with a deep understanding of them - really improves the odds big time. :) Hahaha, Robert Benjamin is really a special guy. He has good advice but his claims are over the top. ;)

Why do you think KZbin suggests my videos to irrelevant videos? ... not a single item is relevant ... and all my efforts are wasted ... the algorithms work wrong for me 😕😕
@Morningfame Жыл бұрын
This is actually normal. And it’s also an effect that is very visible if you still have very few views like in your case. The reason suggestion come from irrelevant videos is mostly because these views are from viewers who watch your videos regularly. For them the recommendations favor your channel. But since you are still small, your channel is not yet favored for larger audiences. Just keep at it. It will grow over time. :)

@@Morningfame Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am grateful for all your help. According to what you said, my channel experienced good growth over time, but it was very short-lived, and I'm no longer attracting new viewers to my channel like before. KZbin no longer recommends my videos to new audiences, and people only watch my videos through searches. All of my hundred videos are similar to each other, with the aim of having my audience in one group. The average viewer retention and click-through rate on my videos are very good, with a click-through rate of twenty percent, exactly twice as much as my competitors.

I am sorry to hear that. Dive deep into your analytics? Which videos were recommended well in the past? Which one didn‘t? And then compare both groups. What are their differences? The video topic, style etc. ?
