people expect others to do so little in life. they expect people to get a stressful job with great pay, get married, have kids and stay in one place with no time to themselves. i can’t imagine that. the idea of that makes me feel so anxious and trapped. honestly, i would just want to live in a different country, like, every two years, travelling, working different, small jobs like in a bookstore or a coffee shop. that’s all i’d need to get enjoyment from life.

For the people saying "it is the life in Paris when you are Rich", she seems to live just south of Gare Du Nord in the 10th arrondissement... For anyone who has ever been there it is definitely not the richest district... I am not saing this is a poor district tho, but there are still some afordable places in this area which is getting really trendy... Believe me, "rich" people in Paris don't go for the 10th arrondissement (most of them go for more central, left bank, or the west end). She's just filming the "normal" Paris, with a poetic angle...

I wonder how it feels like to live on your own. To live like you’re actually ‘living’. I’ve always been transparent and exposed to everyone. I’ve always shared my life to the people around me, my whole life has been like this. Always giving myself and respecting other people’s boundaries, but never have I given the freedom to live for myself. Even if I was away it’s concerning that I even think of other people, of what they do and what they think about while I was away. Seeing this video made me feel like wanting to go beyond these walls I’ve built, these walls I’ve shared with everyone. I want to live like this. I wonder what it feels like to live day to day in Paris. Or somewhere out there that will actually give me time for myself. This video is beautiful on its own.

Best 3 minutes and 34 seconds of my life :) I live in a small beach town on the coast of South Africa and while I know that life isn’t necessarily always as aesthetic and slow-paced as it is in this video, it definitely makes me want to just step back and appreciate every little thing in my little town. Life can’t be slow until I slow down x

I love how y’all think of France and especially Paris as such a wonderful and aesthetic place, where we Europeans just think of it as a country full of conceited people who smell and hate foreigners lol

I mean people think of japan as some sort of anime utopia and China as some communist brainwashy shithole

People love to fantasize about Paris. There’s even a condition in Asia where Chinese people fantasize about Paris, then visit it, and go back home completely depressed because it was totally nothing like what they imagined. This video is exactly like that. Selling a dreamy idea of what living in Paris is, when actually it’s nothing like that. And let’s face it, you don’t have to live in Paris to dress up, go out, go to the bakery and get a coffee. I don’t live in Paris, and I do the same. Stop the whole Parisian lifestyle fantasy.

I was so mesmerized by the video that I didn't realize it was 3 minutes long, I wish it was longer, and you picked the perfect song... I also wanted to comment that maybe Hemingway said that about Paris, but everyone finds their own place in the world or their "city": mine was Mar del Plata, a beach town in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I only lived there like 3 weeks during the winter when there isn't much to do, but I enjoyed walking and having the beach and the wind with me, the loneliness of a tourist place when there are no tourists and have coffee and tea with my roommate in the afternoon because our room was tiny, we only went there to sleep and I loved that, not being rooted in the material of the home, you are looking outside where to live and be. It was a beautiful experience and this video reminded me of those days. Hopefully everyone will find their "Paris" or their "Mar Del Plata" one day, hope you can find your City.
