That silver you added to the replacement of the head gasket is something my dad showed me when I was a boy. I've done that for years. Good video, I subbed you.

Thankyou Terry, really appreciate you tuning into the channel and glad to hear that you use that technique as well… means I am not alone !!!! 😂 Yes my Grandad showed me the trick when I first started mucking around with cast iron engines and heads and I just kept it going I guess, still have a pot of Silver frost that must be 30+years old now which I use, they don’t make Silver Frost like they use to 😂 kindest regards JC👍😉

Fordson Major E1A have a similar thing?...thought we had been sent the wrong gasket as it had smaller holes than what was on the head and block...but apparently that's how they are. And yeah, hands up...Morris engines have a unique sound, mines an LC5, but it's unmistakable

Hahaa yep they are a special sounding engine for sure, glad to know its not just me then.... I've actually had a a couple of fans reach out and like yourself relay their stories about vintage tractor gaskets and "reduced or missing " head gasket holes, must have just been the way with some companies back then but it can still make for some head scratching even today ?!?!?!? Glad you enjoyed the episodes and thankyou for the comments - kindest regards JC
