There's something hilarious about Pete holding a super traditional Les Paul, aged and reliced, strumming it, followed by the sound of R2-D2 getting dunked in water and launched into the Grand Canyon. Beautiful, really.

The noble screamer isn't putting one into the other, more seperating the the Drive and Tone parts of the circuits so you can mix and match it. So you can have an ODR with the tonestack of a Tubescreamer or a TS with the tonestack of the ODR

Great vid fellas, I just want to explain how the noble screamer works because I think you guys got a bit confused. It's not 2 ciruits working together It's 1 drive at a time but you can choose between an ODR1 or a TS clipping, thats the drive toggle and you can choose either a ODR1 or TS tone circuit. So you can use it as a TS or ODR1 or you could use a TS midhumped tone circuit with an ODR1 clipping circuit or vice versa but its only one gain stage or tone stack at a time.

Hi, guys. Me again. To further clarify the business of chorus vs vibrato, it really is a mono vs wet/dry signal path scenario. To give a real-world example: A Roland JC amp's chorus has the dry signal through one speaker and the vibrato signal through its other speaker. If you want to truly experience a lush, _wide_ chorus sound, use a two-amp setup with the dry signal in one side and the wet (vibrato) signal in the other.

I love how often these videos begin with eye-rolling and cynicism and progress into, "Well then, that was actually kind of cool.." I think it inspire builders to put a bit of extra english when they are redoing or reimagining something. I want to see a video(s) where you ask for builders to do things YOU want. We are pretty close to the day where everyone gets what they want via 3-D printing and who better to lead that revolution than the players shops, and builders?

yea noticed that too. but i don't think they both have that crazy mid hump. it's more that the drive characteristics seem to be identical to me. which is...i dunno...boring? i guess not, if ts type softclipping is exactly your very fav type of drive

Fun fact: That Morse/telegraph key is a copy of a design, which has been around among licensed radio amateurs since ... the 1960's, I think? 🤔 It is a horrible, horrible lowest possible cost key design intended for hapless beginners, and should not be used for actual Morse code transmission at almost any cost. Anyone, who has touched and used a proper, professional level Morse key, will likely agree. But. It is a cool effect, and that is probably all that matters here... 😅

Definitely a sobering look at the state of current day guitar pedal development. A borderline unusable, broken-sounding octave fuzz, and a stupidly expensive, limited edition tube screamer clone with a bunch of absolute WANK for marketing. You know, just in case you don't own enough tube screamer clones already, now you get a bluesbreaker clone too! Fascinating innovation, and so affordable.

this format is getting kind of stale with the lack of research and lack of enthusiasm. maybe get an intern to do the research and fill you in beforehand? also please for the love of god switch places from time to time. i love the captain but he isn't the best and exploring pedals. pete always has the good ideas for running different things into eachother and stuff. or hook up both of you with a guitar and do short jams using the pedals? maybe do less pedals in one video or something? or less frequent videos? i hope this isn't coming off as rude but it gets kind fo pointless to watch demos where things are presented poorly. it took me 1 minute to read up how the noble screamer works. so it's a bit frustrating to watch people who make living knowing stuff like this is be puzzled by it.

@CorbCorbin
@CorbCorbin 11 ай бұрын
A couple demos I’ve seen so far, had the volume dimed on both sides, and the tone knobs. The gain on the TS side, is very tame. I like the pedal, but there are better options, or I should say, equal options, for much less money, and have more options, including ones with the TS/MIAB combo.

others mentioned that the stone burner is a dune reference, but further the atreides is a fuzz/octave/env filter/phaser and the attack vector is an env filter/phaser from it, so i bet the stone burner is the rest of the atreides pedal

That thing from copper sound is amazing- the morse code thingy- really liked it. It reminds me of the Boss splicer but- much simpler with far fewer options. The Splicer is nuts man- you can make it stutter like that in pretty much any rhythmic pattern you can think of, and it will capture that pattern then and you can play with the timing and stuff and get it just where you want it. You can play over it- like a loop- etc., etc.- it's a trip. I never bought one though because it seems too complex and starts approaching like making digital electronic music or something- which I know nothing about. You see those guys with the little tablet like thingies- they can make some amazing music with those things. But I play by ear, and I don't see how ppl like me are supposed to really use those things. Wouldn't you need to know how to read or write music? Otherwise, how would you tell that thingy what noises to make and when? Hmm- I doubt they designed to for ppl who refer to it as a "thingy" either. But I have no idea what to call it otherwise. Damn sure isn't a guitar. Where are the strings? Does it take a reed? How many keys? Can I hit it with a stick? Well then it aint no instrument. Makes pretty music though, lights up all shiny- I like it.

@Desirsar
@Desirsar 11 ай бұрын
Hey, they figure it out by the end! For anyone else trying monophonic pedals for the first time - using the bridge pickup, play around the 12th fret, tracking will work best. If you must play over the entire fretboard, tossing an EQ in front that boosts 200Hz and cuts everything else will usually help enough.
