man I have loved mine!!!! I did switch to reckless 80 recently but that is just for more extreme riding. I am keeping my backcountry setup for longer less gnarly stuff they rock!!

Hellz yeah my man! I wonder how long til I get a top duffle from them. I don’t mind the box for now. 👊🏻

@@CaptMaxADV I am using my top duffel on the reckless 80 lol. I just did 3 trips with the stinger 22 and on top of that the 30 liter duffel but I just added a drone and a camera to the travel so i put the 40 l backcountry duffel back on. It is my favorite piece. congrats on some bad ass gear bro !!!!

I really like the MOSKO bags also, but when i weighed them, everything together ended up heavier than my zega pro hard bags. So i went with another brand soft bag for my trip to Colorado but have Mosko on the list for Christmas 🎄.

I’m 3 days into having them on and I just love everything about them! Feels like I’ve barely begun to explore all of their potential and they’re just fun to use! And they sure look sweet too! Maybe a tad heavy, but they’re bomber construction. I know you’ll love them! 🙌🏻

The bike and sidecar are at DMC sidecars being built. The bike is a 2019 R1250 GSA exclusive and the sidecar is their expedition model. Should be done next month hopefully.

I’m catching up with your videos. Great stuff! Question: Were you able to resolve the spacing issue with the rack mounted tool box and the Mosko backing plate? I am looking to pull the trigger but am concerned about keeping my tool box. Thanks!

Thanks! About to upload part 1 of our spring Sawtooth Mountains ride. I’m running the Michelin Pilot Road 5’s and there’s no rubbing. But when I switch back to the Battlax’s I plan to cut my spacers in half. You can work it out, with washers or spacers of different sorts, no problem.
@bradb25143 жыл бұрын
Great, I’m glad it works. So it sounds like maybe a 1/4” will suffice. Thanks!

I have the Touratech toolbox as well. We’re you able to mount the toolbox with the standoffs you mentioned around the 3:45 mark?
@CaptMaxADV3 жыл бұрын
Yes I did. Unfortunately they're too long so the tire contacts the inside of the box. I need to cut them in half. The ones I bought are maybe 1/2". If you get 1/4" ones you'll probably be fine, depending on the tire. I'll try to get a video out, or at least a photo posted for it the next time I can.

I am about to order the 35+25 offset. but after watching Tim collins on FTA he has ordered two 35s What is yourt opinio . apparently the 35 is 8 inch wide compared to 6 inch for the 25. Do you think two 35s on the same bike would make a lot of difference
@CaptMaxADV3 жыл бұрын
I saw that he did that. I understand why. 1. I would consider running both sides as 35L, particularly if I knew I would regularly be maxing out my capacities, as Tim does living on his bike. 2. The oversized 35L on the exhaust side would be a tad on the excessive side for my likings, but not so much that I would never do it. 3. The 25L is a little on the smaller side than, say, the space I’m used to on my hard boxes, so that’s a slight down side that will cause me to pack differently/less. But it does provide a perfect place for mounting my camp chair outside the bag above the exhaust. And the narrower profile overall is ideal for me. 4. I still would probably make the choice I did 9 times out of 10. 5. I don’t think you can go wrong with either! You’ll be totally stoked! 🙌🏻
@sylvaingirard11353 жыл бұрын
Hi, I purchased the same kit and have also the space issue with the Touratech toolbox. Can you show me the modifications you made ? Thanks! Sylvain
@CaptMaxADV3 жыл бұрын
The small standoffs I used are about twice as long as needs be. So the tire is rubbing the inside of the box. I’ve gotta trim them or get shorter ones. I’d recommend just going to the hardware store, getting longer stainless screws and some stainless or aluminum standoffs (little sleeves/thick washers) just long enough to allow the Mosko brackets to work.

I almost feel bad for you. I cant believe you just post your addictions online like that with no conscious. What if some younger viewers see this crap. They say there is a place that can get you help. I have been trying to find it for years. I am also addicted to BMW and all the shit that comes with it. My disorder is uncontrollable. My wife is pissed at you and your video. Mosko Moto gives an order email complete confirmation. She got it before I did. Hhahah. Thanks for the vid.

It’s been 2yrs, would you still do the offset 35/25 or if you were to purchase again or the Reg 35/35?
@CaptMaxADV Жыл бұрын
Still the 35/25. I still think having the 35 out on the exhaust side would be waaaaay too wide. The 25 sticks out pretty far as it is.

Yeeeah. It’s kind of a pain. Should only take 10 min or so to take of the brackets. Wished they’d come up with a quick mount system, maybe that would save you the cost of the mounts themselves.

What is the utility of Aux Pox? I am confused if i get the aux pox as well, please let me know ur utility, i don't need extra fuel as GSA has 30L tank.
@CaptMaxADV Жыл бұрын
I’m guessing you mean the “pockets” that attach at each end of each bag? They’re extremely useful and I wouldn’t have likely bought a bag set like this that didn’t have them. I have no aux fuel on board, 8 gallons is enough.

What is the total weight of the box, i have to carry it in flight, so asking approximate weight
@CaptMaxADV Жыл бұрын
I’d guess the boxes empty weigh: Top - 7lbs Sides - 10lbs But surely somewhere on the internet knows the exact weight. 🤷🏼♂️
@CaptMaxADV Жыл бұрын
They have a rated weight capacity, but most folks I know, like me, heavily overload them. My top is probably 20-30lbs. Sides are 30-40 each. Depends on the trip.
