SIDE NOTE IDK HOW BUT I FORGOT BRIG SO HERE IS THE ROUGH DRAFT OF NOTES I HAD FOR HER MY BAD YALL Brig: Season 4 after ult rework (season 4 is her strongest state) Brigette is infamous for her strength in overwatch 1 however going into overwatch 2 brig received a few nerfs to her bash and her inspire. Even though she wasn't terrible she wasn't receiving too much play causing the devs to on jan 5 and feb 7th to buffs her shield hp and repair packs and reducing her ult cause however her peak in strength was in season 4 when her ult received a rework which really was just a buff with the only nerf being a repair pack range nerf this made brig effectively a tank with her giant shield with more hp than a sigma shield. Brig received nerfs to her shield and rally on august 10th marking this as her peak form even though currently brig is super strong in the current meta. Thank you for Watching this video took an insane amount of time to make everything down to the researching, to the writing, to the recording, to the editing, to even making the thumbnail taking over 2 hours (not a joke). I'd argue that lifeweaver is currently in his best state. His heal now automatically charges which allows him to deal damage when healing:s not necessary, and holding a fully charged heal doesn't slow him down anymore. His pull admittedly is more useful to redirect your tank to the other tank targeting both supports, but it does heal and provide immortality for it's duration. The healing dash is useful, both for escape and general mobility, and honestly petal platform is slept on. His ult is honestly best used for blocking an enemy and holding a point with your team. Unlike zen's ult, it just doesn't heal enough for better uses, and probably won't save a dying teammate.

For Lucio, honestly, the projectile size nerfs kinda helped As the size was so big that you couldn't hit a headshot unless you were aiming *above* the target, not at their head, which obviously goes against all instinct The nerfs made headshots easier to land, funnily enough, although at the cost of landing regular hits. Which I think is more of a side grade or even buff than a nerf

Technical best state for Illari was release when she was disabled in comp and her ult going through shields. But when she got into they nerfed that, but here is the thing Illari had a size in her hits can, and she can consistently two tap squishies because of her hits can. Pylon has always been really broken ability just putting it in some of the most bs places and the range on it is so crazy still.

12:01 imo Cass was easily his strongest in S4. He had 225 when every other squishy had 200 which mattered is a higher percentage increase compared to now, still had 131 damage nade, and had much better fall off range. He was pretty inarguably the best hitscan that season and all the pro teams pretty much only played Cass whenver they played a hs (besides the sniper heavy maps like circuit)

You forgot at the beginning of season 3 ball got his health changed to shield and got his mines buffed. That was a period when ball dominated. Also in season 2 Ramattra has infinite ult and was over powered, but completely overshadowed by hog. Even devs were surprised that people didn’t complain about him.

Yeah the ram thing i was super torn on his ult was insane and honestly i genuinely think people would be surprised just how many times it’s been nerfed but i feel like the pick rate thing is why I gave it to season 11 primarily because armor was just so insane and ram can easily reset his armor but i completely understand saying season 2 with ball is it true he’s ult was better than and was quickly nerfed. Sigma never git nerfed until OW2 just to get those nerfs reverted then buffed with tank passives, then have his ult buff reverted. So his strongest state is OW2 regardless. What made him good in OW was Orisa bap and Brig with brig being the most broken character to ever exist. While bap had his immortality in its strongest state even though it got nerfed and easier to kill later the rest of his kit got giga buffed in OW2. So pretty much all characters best states are in OW2 except for Mercy and Brig.

Sigma was easily most broken when on release when he had a 1500 hp shield with no retraction cool down, a one shot combo on 250hp characters, and a kinetic grasp that could block more things than a dva. @@arbre_mystique his 500 hp on shields is now in his health, The sheild retraction is the only nerf, the ult was always interruptible you could always hog hook or ana sleep it unless the sig played well and ulted behind shield while also getting los to use it. And even if it wasnt. There was a patch in Overwatch 2 while he got his oneshot combo back which is now for 300hp targets he could get you in the ult without LOS as long as your in the range of it. That is way more broken cause he can avoid you and not even have to worry about interrupts at all.

Personally I think the 29 to 27 nerf is much much worse than the speed buff the damage threshhold of one less shuriken has permanently made it so genji can't one shot unless it's a full triple headshot dash shebang whereas before he could hit 6 stars and melee for the kill This meant that he could shoot twice and melee and there are pleeeenty of situations where genji could burst you down for basically free - Right click melee is a risk free kill option, because he can dash out on failure - he can dash in without any regard because he can always just right click twice and get out - NANO GENJI is basically blade because all he needs to hit is dash and right click Overall, genji having a 2 shot threshold instead of a 3 shot gave him way too much freedom in how he could approach it was just too good... and legit... i miss those days

junkrat is alright right now, the main thing is that his ult kinda sucks… the reward from using it just keeps going down while the risk stays very high. So often i will just hold junks ult all game because using it is more of a risk and gives less reward than just spamming mines and nades from safety. I WANT to ult, but the doom, sombra or tracer will just instakill you and any hits can will just instakill the tire. you can only really use it against supports.

19:03 This is just blatantly wrong. Reaper has not "mostly only ever been buffed." He came into Overwatch 2 as one of the only heroes to receive nerfs, received nothing but nerfs for up until last Season where he got his first "legitimate" buff (the TP buff), and prior to that, was predominantly nerfed, with some nerfs mislabeled as buffs. For instance: - Death Blossom is 15% weaker than it was pre-season 9 changes and that's including the adjustments they made to it later on (They didn't scale it up proportionally). - Spread reductions were reverted to 6, which is how he was before they transitioned to OW2 (when they nerfed to 8 degrees and took away damage which he never got back either) - Having 300 health is proportionally less than what he had previously in comparison to all other character health pool changes. If it was scaled up proportionally instead of just applying a flat 50 HP increase (which has diminishing returns the higher the starting health pool is), it would have been 150 -> 200, 200 -> 266.66, and 250 -> 333.33. The other option is to scale from the top down, so 250 -> 300, 200 -> 240, and 150 -> 180. No matter how you look at it, 300 HP heroes are proportionally the weakest at of all the groups. - He got the smallest increase of all the projectile size changes, while all of his counters gained a massive advantage to his already massive hitbox and now nerfed health pool. - He was indirectly nerfed by the new Lifesteal passive, directly affecting his ability to self-sustain, while simultaneously losing value by no longer being the self sustain flanker since everyone now has the global healing passive. This is all without even mentioning the indirect nerfs like Armor and headshot damage reduction on tanks that targeted him specifically, as well as the removal of his ability to leave CC with Wraith form. This character has had far more nerfs than buffs.

You forgot at the beginning of season 3 ball got his health changed to shield and got his mines buffed. That was a period when ball dominated. Also in season 2 Ramattra has infinite ult and was over powered, but completely overshadowed by hog. Even devs were surprised that people didn’t complain about him.
