I got Bilstein B6 shocks with Eibach springs with 40mm lower in the front and 15mm lower in the back in my Coupe. Also i put in Bilstein suspension strut top mount in the front and the ones from the e46 M3 in the back. Rides like a new car, completely satisfied.

My 97 M3 coupe currently has Ground Control coilovers (Koni based, rebound/single adjustable) with their Eibach springs and Ground Control camber/caster plates. I've got a 27mm UUC front sway bar. Powerflex front control arm and sway bar bushings. I've also got the OEM x-brace up front. In the rear, I have Powerflex subframe bushings. I've got the UUC poly/metal diff bushings as well. Trailing arm bushings are Powerflex. OEM rear bar as I've heard it is plenty. I may go with the beefy Hotschkiss front sway bar. My dad has one on his E36 and it is an extremely nice setup. I think they're 33mm which is enormous. You can put a jack on a rear/side jack point and it will lift the entire side up front and back. Car is nice and tight. It's a little stiff but it's not a daily drive for me.

My e36 328i is currently on BC br series coilovers. Love the ride, but in hindsight I wish I had gone for something with a progressive spring rate

I have a 1999 323is BMW coupe in mint condition it’s been garage kept by the way I bought this car from a old 80 year old lady that bought it in 1999 off the showroom well I put some coilovers drove it for a year with noises coming from the rear from the coilovers shocks finally I removed the rear coilovers and put some lowing springs and now it’s running like a dream I still have the coilovers in the front with dampers they are okay but I’m thinking of removing them and putting lowering springs to my front struts only because I have a friend that did it to his Toyota Corolla 2016 and wow does that car feels so smooth and no roll overs the car runs and handles the corners like your on air now my question is ; should I go with air bags or should I stay the way it is now on lowing springs I truly respect your judgment do to all your videos I’ve seen , by the way I love your M3 I have the same body style your have but mines a 323is coupe

Now that it's been awhile, how are your Megan Spec-RS holding up? And, do you think spending 2x as much will get you better quality or handling? The BMW community is a tough crowd on the Megan brand as a whole. The opinions I've seen are like unless you have KW Clubsport or better, they're crap.
@TreatsOnTheStreets2 жыл бұрын
They've been great for me. Handle well and have been durable. If they ever go bad I may try KW or Fortune Auto but those weren't worth the cost for me at the time. You don't need to drop 3k on a set of coils to get good ones.

I've only used spring/damper combos on my modified cars with poly bushings as well. I would not have changed a thing on my 92 Prelude, Neuspeed sports and KYB AGXes with energy suspension bushings and SPC ball joints. It was a 1.7 drop in the front and 1.5 in the rear and it still had plenty of clearance and handed like a dream. H&R and Bilsteins on the e46 (xi); I bought it with these mods, but have added powerflex poly an ECS poly rear subframe mounts when I had to have the rear shocks replaced (old version were known to fail, and one had, so now they sell, I think, the same bilsteins that are for the rear of an e36 M3?). Anyway, it is a pretty stuff ride and pretty low with the mtech from bumper, but not typically problematic. I am sure some people would hate the ride quality, but I like the feel it has given the car and am happy with the static setup. Cheers!

i’ve got a 2000 Z3, my front struts are blown out so i’ve been planning a suspension upgrade for awhile. Unfortunately for my car, there’s pretty much only two options - bilstein shocks n struts w h&r springs, or bc racing coil overs. they’re practically the exact same price at $1000, i have no idea which to pick!! i’m not sure if i want to deal with adjusting everything on coilovers, but i know the adjustability will be critical for the z3 chassis

I'm riding on Koni shocks with H and R sport springs on my e36. Handles and rides great would reccomend! Eibach is comparable but rides better and is a little higher. Love the video! Also your blue springs were likely Dinan or Eibach.
