I had my interview (f4 category) at the embassy in Islamabad on 18th December 2023, our visa was approved at the interview however a few days later, on 21st December 2023 we received an email from the embassy in which theyasked for pictures of my father’s cnic and previous passport(my father is the principal applicant) . We sent these documents however we were confused on why they asked for these documents, later we found out that my father’s date of birth on his old passports was wrong although he got it corrected, the embassy somehow found out and now we are in AP. The embassy hasn’t emailed us since they requested the documents. Hoping for the best, Inshallah our visa will get issued soon

Technically form I-864 expire hota hai jab new tax year shuroo hota hai April 18 ko. Lakin agar petitioner ne Jan ya Feb mien hi new tax file kardiye Hain, toh aap ko new updated I-864 chaiye hoga and upload before interview. Update karna behtr hota hai

Once your interview letter comes, then you can edit your I-864 form and add the new joint sponsor. And upload the new docs as well. Then take the new form to interview

My case now showing refused and given me pink color form 221g with a tick mark on "Your visa application requires additional administrative processing and we will contact you as soon as we are ready to proceed with your case" and I also got back my passport without Visa. What does it mean, my case is closed and reapply again or wait for another intimation.

@@dhansuMunna I am in the same boat as you. My interview date was Oct 8th. I checked the website before the interview and it had only few documents that were mentioned. I took those but consulate asked for more documents but I didn't have them at that time. I was given 221g green paper and was asked to submit company documents. I did within few days, and then after a week, got another email for bank statement, I sent that as well. Now waiting for consulate response. I had applied for L1A visa. Its been 50 days and still pending. My only concern is that what if Trump changes the rules, will that affect our pending case? Do you have any idea about that?

Interview ok hoa jis ke baad unhon ne hamein aik white paper dia jisme administrative processing or medical ko tick kia hoa tha or saath hamare passport bhi wapis kardiye or kaha gaya k ab aap logon ko embassy nahi aana hai or passport medical na hone ki wajah se wapis kar rahe hain. Medical karwane k baad aapke pass email aayegi to aap is paper pe diye gaye address pe apne passport courier kardeinge jis ke baad hum aapko stamp laga k aap ke passport wapis bhej deinge. Ceac k portal pe hamara case status Refused aaraha hai. Koyi email abhi tak nahi aayi hai .aik baat or k medical test ki expiry kitni hoti hoti.Plz guide us for further what action we take. Thanks.

Once you receive your interview letter, upload the documents of your new Joint Sponsor on CEAC and update the I-864. Also, take the supporting documents of the new joint sponsor to the interview. You can also upload a cover letter explaining you had have a new joint sponsor and would like to remove your old joint sponsor. Do All this after you receive your interview letter. Changing Joint sponsor should not be an issue don't worry, as long as new JS meets the income requirement.

There is no other medical letter , you can book your appointment on behalf of this interview letter. If you are in Karachi or in Lahore you have to visit willcare and show them your interview letter to book an appointment for medical

Hi Rabia, as correctly stated by Urbuti, please contact the local designated medical center for immigration medical and ask to schedule the medical appointment. You will need to take your interview letter to the appointment. In applicant section when you go to documents there would be an option Aditional AOS documents, you can upload updated documents and other supporting docs there. Updated I864, tax returns, W2s I would upload everything before interview and would take them to interview as well.

Passport renew karva lein and when you get new passport, upload the new passport biographic page on CEAC after you get Interview letter. Take both passports to medical and do the medical with new passport. Also take both passports to interview but give the embassy new passport and Inform them of renewed passport

Do not submit anything after DQ. Wait for interview letter and then upload all the updated I-864 and financial docs for the previous years. Only submit again after IL and before interview. Good luck

my sister PD is coming up in May 2024, DQ was already done in Oct 2020 and second sister October 2022 for F4, both sisters PD 25 June 2007, and it will be crossing next and in May 2024 they will be handing 22 July 2007, Can I ask Islamabad Agency to schedule interview? DQ is almost two years and it is almost 17 years plus my elder sister (petitioner) of this beneficiaries is now 62 years old and sick and having issues and also widow… she desperately needs some help, she is in KY and I am in Texas… I didn’t apply them because I came here in 2002 as an immigrant and Citizenship in 2008.. my question, can I write a letter on her behalf to expedite interview on the basis of hardship? DQ is almost 4 years and another one is 2 years and PD is current in next month.. can you help me?

@@ammaramalik3267 Interviewed on 6th March & was put on Review for Administrative Processing, checked on the Visa status website, and showed REFUSED with an update on 12th MARCH, they changed the update date as 25th May 2024 with the same Refused caption. So I have to wait, for how long only they know.

Upload it before interview. Even thought it is not specified any where on State Dept website, we have seen from numerous cases of AP if updated I-864 was not uploaded prior to interview.

Hello guys, I applied I-130 case with green card but later on I became US citizen... After approval when I submitted my case to NVC I applied with naturalization certificate of citizenship. My file shows F21 category but I applied with US citizenship then I fall under which category? How can I change my category on NVC account from F21 To IR1/CR1? Please help Does visa category affect the speed of processing of IL?

Yes, the visa category absolutely makes a huge difference in speed of processing. F2A visa interviews are still in 2020 DQ, while IR-1/CR-1 are now in April 2022. Use the NVC Public Inquiry form to submit your naturalization certificate and tell NVC to convert your case to CR-1 since you are a US Citizen. travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Make sure you fill out updated I-864 when you get interview letter and upload on CEAC and take to interview. Ensure that on new I-864 your income is sufficient and there is no need for co-sponsor. Good luck
