@@TheFandomeClips I heard a theory in the books that he could still be alive on an island. I can’t recall the name of the island. The theory stated that dragons rarely die of old age and can live hundreds of years and cannibal could’ve survived in isolation. It sounds pretty wacky now that I’m typing this out I’ll admit 😂. I think I heard it in an alt shift x video he definitely explained it a lot better than I did.

I think Daemon is one of the very few who could have successfully claimed Cannibal if he truly wanted. I would also put forward Aegon 1, Queen-Consort Visenya, Princess Rhaenys, Daeron 1 (not Daeron the Daring) and maybe Maekar 1 as individuals who may have been able to claim Cannibal as well, though there probably are others.

Nah I would scratch Cannibal name off the list. Not because I deny his power. But it defeats the purpose of the dragon riders. The House of the Dragons would prefer to expand their fleet of dragons to ensure their rule on Westeros, not throwing Dragon Battle Royale.

I feel like the show is gonna make Aegon and Aemond very different from the books. I like the actor who plays Aemond because I'm a simp for the last kingdom, but I think him reading the histories and constantly training is gonna make him a very good general in the show.

@@WrathOfTheShaft Maybe events get shuffled and condensed but at the end of the day, Book Aemond was directly responsible for the destruction of the Lannister (not doing recon) and Royal hosts (abandoning Criston Cole) and indirectly responsible for the defeat of the Hightower and Baratheon hosts. Attacking the Black lords in the crownlands was a sensible idea but taking Harrenhal was pure stupidity even without hindsight and Daemon's fakeout. Aemond may well have been a good tactician but he failed utterly at strategy.

sunfyre is literally the only dragon in the dance with a dragon kill count that possibly reaches 3, Meleys, possibly Greyghost though perhaps it was the Cannibal and Moondancer, not to mention the frightening resilience demonstrated by sunfyre who survived three dragon fights and still survived for days before dying from the accumulated injuries, gods what a piece of a dragon...

Avoiding future spoilers, Daemon has to be the most dangerous, if only because he already has a track record. For what it’s worth, and I’m pretty sure this came up in the discord at some point, Vermithor’s size is apparently comparable to Vhagar despite the massive age difference. Dragons may never stop growing but some dragons grow faster than others.

If Vermithor get's a rider in s2 then that would certainly place a finger on the scales for the blacks, but I think the blacks already have the considerable advantage of daemon/Koraxes and Rhaenys/the red queen (can't remember the name of her) with both having a noticeably strong bond and experience with their dragons. Ps. I think that dragons that have strong bonds with their riders start sharing similar traits, like for example Koraxes being more bold and ruthless being a by product of Daemon being like that which is also why Syrax is more docile and calm because Rheynyra is like that, and so on and so forth. Great video by the way.

His description in the book as the Blood Wyrm beautifully came to life in the show & his design being slender and snake like both in appearance & how he flies is just😍 also his unique sound! I think Rhaenys has a potential to rival Daemon, i see them as pretty equal on the dragon/rider team (+ you didn't mention the Red Queen being the fastest dragon alive, that sure is an asset). I may be biased from knowledge from the books, because let's face it this video NEEDS a sequel once we get to see more of the Dance on screen. I feel like so much can be said to modify this ranking, but i understand based on current show knowledge we can't have it really different...

Lets face it, Joffrey was always going to be Joffrey and he was always going to die that wouldn't change. But i feel like we got the worst version of him. He didn't need to be that useless or die that early. If Tywin had raised Joffrey himself, Joffrey might just maybe have one functional brain cell and might follow proper protocol procedures. And if Jamie taught Joffrey how to swing a sword Joffrey could potentially participate in battles or at least participate in tournaments and look cool. He didn't need to be *Completely* useless and stupid. i understand why Tywin let Cersei raise her other kids. But since everyone knows King Robby was not going to raise Joffrey and didn't care about him. Tywin should have raised Joffrey himself. If you take advantage of Joffrey while he is still a small child prince you could have taught him something. Once that crown went on his head Joffrey was not going to learn anything. A wasted opportunity thats honestly at least partially Tywins fault since he was in charge, and it was his plan and Joffrey was the key to the plan

Spoiler Warning. One Rider and dragon pair that have yet to show up, and, in my opinion, are definitely top 5 material are Addam Velaryon and Seasmoke. These two went to battle against three other dragons, two of which three times larger than our little grey fella and Seasmoke even fought Vermithor one on one, damaging the bigger dragon's wings to the point where it crashed, while trying to fly and died.

Some people laugh at Rhaenyra hinting that Syrax could take on vhagar, but she isnt misguided, if syrax is indeed very fast, with luck, they could do it. While she may not know exactly that Vhagar is more than double Syraxes size, G.R.R. Martin pointed out that he wanted to make dragons as realistic as possible. In real life, the bird that achieves the highest speeds, the peregrin falcon, is known to hunt other birds, and it is documented that it attacks bald eagles as well. The eagle is 2-3x heavier than the falcon, yet is falls within a few strikes from the falcon. With riders giving more advantage, realisticly Syrax could take on Vhagar, if prepared, Syrax and Caraxes together... well that isnt a fight, that is bullying.

i know why helenna and her dragon aint on this list, but her dragon itself is only second to vaghar (in size). So the greens have the 2 biggest dragons while the reds only have the 3rd biggest one (and many small ones)

Now that I think about it , my favourite by far is Sunfyre , by book version totaly the most badass dragon ,hold back only by hiss youth This golden boy had killed two other dragons and a army after he was toatal demolish by Meleys , had live longer that all other domestic dragons , long enough to deserve his crispy queen snack There is no other Dragon in the entire planetos who had suffer so much punishment and still com up and top

Aemond and Vhagar are essentially Westerosi-equivalent to the German Battleship BIsmarck. Aemond and Vhagar ended Season 1 by killing Lucerys and Arrax in a manner comparable to the sinking of the HMS Hood. Until Vhagar is absent from the board, there will be no chance of victory.

Vhagar would be more like the Yamato than Bismarck. Bismarck was powerful but she was inferior to some British Battleships like King George V if her turrets where working.

Yamato is way more powerful but didnt have the same effect on the allied navies as Bismarck had. Once Bismarck was sunk the Allies had fully dominated the naval aspect. The USA on the other hand had no problem dealing with the japanese in the pacific.

@@samanyupalthi The USA did target Yamato actually, it's just Japan rarely ever sent her into the combat zones. She was a big target but she just rarely was in anyone's sight to take a crack at her. Bismarck was powerful, but it is overstated in terms of how big a threat it. The Royal Navy was not scared of the Bismarck, but more concerned how much damage it could do to the lightly escorted convoys which lacked any heavy ships to protect them. Let's not forget that the RN navy had ships that matched and even overmatched Bismarck. In Dance of Dragons that is not so for the blacks who have no dragon capable of 1v1 Vhager in a direct fight. Yes I do know what happens later on in the war but that was more taking out the rider than the Dragon. I say Vhager is Yamato because she was the most biggest and heavily armed Battleship built. The same for Vhager with the dragons. I dare say Daemon is more like Bismarck as the greens want him taken out first to cripple the blacks side and remove their most capable rider in terms of battle experience.

Syrax is on this list? Literaly the worst dragon in the lore. In the lore she is the only dragon not willing to hunt for herself, so she has to be fed, and she also doesnt fly in bad weather. Aslo she got beaten up by a peasant mob. You also say the following: "She is one of the only dragon still laying eggs." English is not my first language but I don't think gramaticaly this sentence makes any sense. She is either "One of the dragons still laying eggs" (which is true, and she probably is the most fertile dragon), or "she is the only dragon laying eggs" which is factualy incorrect, since we know that at least Dreamyfre is also laying eggs, and Meleys is a lot younger than her, so she can probably lay them as well. I am not sure about the younger dragons, but I am sure there are a bunch of them that would have reached egglaying age soon if not fo the dance.
