I’ve had an LR3, an LR4 and now a new Defender - all 100% reliable. I wouldn’t own them if they weren’t reliable and excellent vehicles.

To be honest, in 2024 if you purchase virtually any modern vehicle and care for it properly and complete maintenance, essentially any vehicle runs well. Even if you get unlucky, every vehicle comes with manufacturer warranty to cover defects for a reason, so that customers can purchase with peace of mind

If someone comments about LR reliability, tell us what model you own and why you find it unreliable. I’ve had LRs for many years and find them 100% reliable. If they weren’t excellent I wouldn’t buy them.

Disco Sport owner, 2018 180 HP HSE. No issues with it yet, towed horses and some heavy off road but always got where I was supposed to get.

I just bought a 2017 HSE and couldn't be happier! Though it is 6 years older than the '23 year model in the video, the car really hasn't changed very much. Mine has the twin turbo diesel engine and is a torquey beast! Especially after I upgraded with a performance chip. My only complaint is no cupholders. No cup holders! Are cupholders not useful in the UK because we Americans really like to drink and drive! That may have come out wrong. 😁 Great review on a very underrated SUV!

Range Rover HSE and Range Rover sport SVU, no issues with either except one electronic on the sport, took 5 minutes to fix. Audi RS5, suspension collapsed after 3000 miles, Merc e220 lights fell out (no idea why) engine lights kept coming on, leaked seals.

I agree. Oddly the Discovery has become the "forgotten model". I actually thought they discontinued the model. :)) Bad or lack of marketing in Canada. I always liked the LR4 because it "stayed boxy" when every one was sloping the back end ...making their SUV's look like hatchbacks. Now recently companies are moving back to "boxy" shaped SUV's YEAH!! e.g. Toyota Land Cruiser and the others.....actually i think Toyota has a better rep than even Land Rover now for reliablity....don't know if LR has hanged this in recent years....they seem just to be a STATUS brand...for "posers".... What good is a $120k CAD SUV if it's always in the shop??

They still break... They still brick with did electronics. They are still the best driving SUV and insanely capable, making breaking up with them so difficult

The wife has a Range Rover Evoque and reliability has been good it has not been in the shop but I hate driving the car. The infotainment system is very slow, the handling is pretty bad although the ride is comfortable. It's slow because the engine is quite underpowered and throttle response is unpredictable let's say. The R dynamic package would have helped the handling but not acceleration. Fir a Range Rover to be good has to be fully loaded and therefore too expensive and definitely not worth the money for what you get.

Interesting
@mcandrett7 ай бұрын
Have you got a diesel engine in your Evoque? I had one this week as a courtesy car and I didn’t like the way the throttle felt at slower speeds. I’ve felt it on other smaller diesels before. I think the petrol engine may feel a better in this regard.

Gotta love the comments section, people who only follow the crowd, because they can't think for themselves. Can't afford this vehicle so make themselves feel better by saying negative comments when really they don't have a clue.,😂😂🤡

@@davidgirvan6007 It is a UK brand. Can you call Volvo a Chinese company?? I own a Volvo and consider them swedish!! Or are they not?
@davidgirvan60076 ай бұрын
That’s correct. They are not! You can consider them Swedish if you wish but it doesn’t make it true. I’m sure the Chairman of Volvo cars, Mr Li Shufu is quite happy for people to assume the brand is Swedish also. And just like TATA Motors with JLR they’ll do their best to fool the masses. Regardless of this, Land Rover are probably the most unreliable mainstream car brand on the planet, so does it really matter!

Which model do you own?? I have two - 2012 LR4 w/ 105k miles; and 2018 Disco w/ 52k miles. Both running great. One time in shop for LR4 at 65k miles for tailgate actuator ($300 to fix) and once for Disco with airbag light (fixed under warranty). Have lots of friends with LR's?? I think not. Haters gonna hate.
