I remember a ride at walt disney world where it tilled back when the video showed you increasing your speed and it was so believable due to the tilt (just like his motion sim does when he accelerates). I love VR but this motion sim is what it's missing.

I think with modern VR devices like Oculus Rift there's no need for multi monitor setups anymore and the immersion is even better. The price of these simulator chairs is another issue though. I'd not pay more than for a car for one of these even if I had the cash for it.

Sure, VR is great in so many ways, but they will never be able to add the dimension of moment like this thing does or the tactile feel a detailed home cockpit will give.
@matthewevans42967 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's definitely all to do with the tactile feel... Hololens brings the best of both worlds. Just put up green screens and have hololens render the monitor to there.

Greetings , We are a group of 4 engineers from Egypt. We are building a 6 DOF flight sim rig based on HAWX as the sim game. we managed to get the yaw and pitch via UDP using X-Plane and get it sent to our micro controller. but unfortunately X-Plane is more of a sim than it is a game . So we need to find a plugin or mod for HAWX that sends yaw and pitch data either over UDP or serial communication , so that we can receive this info on our simulation rig and adjust rotation angels accordingly. All feedback is highly appreciated, we really need this plugin or Mod if we are to continue our project and thanks to you al

why at 2:11 are you banking left and turning the controls right? it looks more like the simulator was taking you for a ride, rather then you flying it.
@keagannelkabangun29599 жыл бұрын
He is compensating for the left turn so he dont over turn the craft or roll the craft( airplane control is very weak at low speed thats why sometime you see that kind of control anomaly)
@joeyjojojjjjjj9 жыл бұрын
Keagan Nelka Bangun I've played all kids of simulators. I have never seen one respond that slowly to input. Its still a kick ass simulator don't get me wrong but when you see some one crank it left you expect the chair and screens to follow the stick movement.
@Behemoth299 жыл бұрын
Joe B Overbanking occurs in a level or climbing turn due to the outer wing having a greater angle of attack. Opposite aileron is required to keep the bank angle constant.
@eds68896 жыл бұрын
Joe B ... if you've ever been in a real plane you would know that a left turn doesn't put a left force on your body. A smooth turn is 1 g. Feels like you are sitting up right. This might be the first sim I've ever seen that has a chance at accurately simulating flight. Yes I am a real world pilot.

Needs to be done on a flight simulator or something, this looks boring, the only way it would be exciting is if you are flying your plane in a unrealistic way.
