Nope,SATD is their standard but their best from a musical and songwriting is pretty easily their 94 record and I grew up a HUGE crue fan,only thing is thats probably when they shoulda done some SIXX A.M. shit and changed the name,but I gave it a shot and thank god I did cuz its probably my favorite album EVER,PERIOD!!

The self-titled record with John Corabi on vocals should've been ranked higher. He with producer Bob Rock gave that band a heaviness they never had before or since. I will agree though that Generation Swine was the worst album the band ever put out. Industrial and techno elements don't belong in Motley Crue's sound.

I love Theater of Pain. I think it is their third best album and quite frankly, most of it were demos left over from Shout. The only problem with the album was the first single off the album. For me, MC died after the second song on the Girls album. NONA??? Fucking NONA??? Dr Feelgood was the title track and then bullshit. Motley Crue 1981-1987 RIP.

I'm a huge Motley fan. Nikki Sixx's songwriting and Mick's musicality are the reason I'm a musician along with Soul Train, Ace Frehley, and Keith Richards. That said the Crue's albums rank as follows period. 1 Too Fast For Love 2 Shout at the Devil 3 Motley Crue 4 the rest

I actually would have Theater of Pain 3rd and New Tattoo would be 5th behind Dr. Feelgood. Maybe when I got New Tattoo I wasn't expecting much and it turned out to be a return to the good Motley after the previous couple of debacles.

They definitely got #1 correct. Shout at the Devil is my personal favorite album of all time. In '83 there was nothing remotely close to that. Their look *at that moment in time" was rockstar perfection, the look did not oversell, mis-market n or mislead fans. The songs, every song, kicked more ass and re-invented the wheel
