Just fitted a Sena S5 comms to this helmet (C4 Basic) and it was really easy to do, speakers fitted in the recesses provided, speaker wires fitted in behind the liner, boom mic secured using velcro tape and lastly the unit connection wires clipped in behind the neck roll securing. This helmet is a big step up from my C3 Pro and came fitted with a Pinlock 120, this and the visor are a big improvement. Highly recommended.

Gotten C4 Basic today, it's very quiet compared to my old Premier Delta helmet. But the chin vent does cause a constant whistle, so you'll be force to tape it shut.

I purchased a C2 that I use mostly for track days and on odd occasions. I have a C3 for general use and is very good. I wish I had stopped there, but was tempted by a built in communication system. I now use my C4 if I want to be deafened, have the visor pop open every five minutes and ride in a drafty cold environment. The larger visor is of no use as most of it is missed over most of the time. A lesson learned.

Does it come with a pinlock visor already installed??

I have the C3 basic. Upgraded the interior with the C3 Inner liner. Fits perfectly. Much more comfortable. Great helmet.

Hi there, thanks for the comparison with the C3 Pro. I own it (C3 Pro) since years and I have been happy with it. Now after like 8 years it is time to change. I was tempted by the C4 Basic but when I read specs, it shows 85 db (A) at 100 km/h for the C4 Basic where the C3 Pro is noted at 82 db (A). Here we talk about noise and not about soundproofing, so that it seems the good old C3 Pro is even quieter than the new C4 Basic. Every 3 db the sound/noise is doubled by 2 so that it is a huge difference. At least on the paper. Did you do a real test comparison (run test) with both C3 Pro and C4 Basic? That would be interesting ... thanks a lot

Thank you for this review, it opened my eyes about my pinlock. I put the original pinlock on a tinted visor and ordered other pinlock for the clear visor, and it wasn't good. Why? Because it was 70!!!! I never checked... I am such an idiot...

June 2021 Schuberth website states the c4 pro comes with pinlock 120, since I've just ordered the C4 Basic I'm hoping that version has had the upgrade as well.... thanks for the review
