Awesome melt today as i melt down a big 43 KG motor and extract all the Copper & Aluminium from it to make a huge haul of Ingots.
Now guys this motor was destined for the scrapyard even though it was only a bad bearing in it , this site I work on is phasing out these types of motors and the boss said i can only take it if I was to melt it down otherwise I wasn’t allowed to touch it, trust me if you saw some of the stuff that they throw in the bin where I work you would be very disappointed like me That’s why I try to re-purpose them into some nice clean Ingots for future casting projects.
Hey guys if you want to do this melting stuff yourself at home I can offer 5% personal discount code off the cost of a furnace just email me on bigstackddddd@mail.com for your personalised discount 😁👍🏻

My family and I saved our cans for 3 years. We drank cases of La Croix that we bought at Sams Club for very cheap. With bags and bags of crushed cans, I ran out of storage so I took them to the scrap yard to turn them in. My heart was broken when I got $30 from cans that I had worked so hard storing for so long and then got $26 on some copper scrap after changing out some water lines. It would have been better to melt them down and teach my step son to as well. I will have to buy one of these and make me an ingot wall. Btw I went to Australia and loved every second of it. Burswood Casino in Perth is my second home. So many beauties!

@exidy-yt 4 жыл бұрын
Do you not have a deposit on cans and bottles where you live? if so at 10c a can you almost certainly would have done WAY better taking it to an actual bottle/can recycling centre. I took 5 years of cans and bottles down, maybe 6 trashbags and 30 or so 12-pack cases and got $140cdn. I doubt I would have gotten $20 at a scrapyard.

Exidy YT we get a case (24 pack) of La Croix from Sam’s club for $7.68. The Bubbly brand was a little cheaper. We don’t drink from plastic since it’s not as environmentally friendly and will keep drinking from aluminum but just turn the cans in with out weekly recycling. I guess we have it pretty good.
@exidy-yt
@exidy-yt 4 жыл бұрын
@@tjschwartz42 You do indeed. It's close to double that including deposit up here for a 24pack, but there's also the currency difference, so I guess I'd be paying about $11-12USD compared to your $7.68USD. Pretty sweet if you ask me! Glad you do keep up with the recycling though. Even with the deposit as incentive in many places to do so, not everyone or even a majority does.:(

Hey man you’re stackD bro lol. Love the melting pot. I’m in the process of making my own furnace from an old propane tank I’ve wanted to start melting for a while now. I have a huge stash of aluminum cans I’ve been saving up for like a year now for when I finally get my furnace built. I know it looks like a lot more than I’ll actually get from them but I figured it’s a start. I was curious where do you get all the stuff you melt? Aside from the stuff you rip off your own house lol which by the way I love those videos they always get me laughing especially when spotting the dog spying on you lol. So yea I mean do you buy some of that stuff used for a good price that you can get a better one off of the raw materials or are you hunting Craigslist and stuff like that? In any case I appreciate you sharing your meltdown lol. Have a great day man.

This reminds me of myself playing Skyrim, like I have the best armor.. But whenever I am in a store I gotta have all the ingots no matter if they're just iron or higher quality and then I take them to my house and put them neatly stacked on shelves along with a whole range of gems in a big container.. No real reason as to why, or wanting to sell them later.. I just gotta have them because "Ooooooh, shiny". I realized that I have turned into a dragon myself hoarding all the shinies. I have no regrets, and this channel pleases me.

This was the best motor melt down! I have worked with blower motors like this. Lots of great metal inside. Those snap rings are always a challenge! They can go flying in a hurrry!

Yes some of these motors properly restored to working order will fetch a higher price than the metals. And purchasing gold silver or platinum with the prices always on the rise would be wise. But where,s the fun in that.

Restoring them is a lot of fun aswell. During my internship i actually restored loads of the one from this vid.

@@niekzwart6165 probably only needed new bearings, and cleaning the stator and/or rotor, and some fresh lubricant. If you know what you're doing and hour of time and $20 of parts for a motor that can sell for quite a bit.

1.9k thumbs down... I get not being interested in this video I mean I love it and watch every one of them but what is to DISLIKE about it? Are their 1,900 sentient motors out their disliking metal casting videos? Transformers? Decepticons?

Jason Smith Yeah who knows buddy. I have at least five or six people that follow me to give me an instant thumbs down three seconds after I upload a video so I don’t know why they’re so upset🤷🏻‍♂️, what these silly people don’t realise is getting a thumbs down is better than getting no thumbs down because it shows channel interaction and that helps with the KZbin algorithm👍🏻😁
