The way Neevesy talks about the bike- you just stay glued to the screen. You know its an honest man speaking- no script, no thrumming bgm, no flashy shots of knee downs, elbow drags or wheelies- every word just coming out of his heart. The lack of centre-stand as standard equipment just pissed me off. Wonder who thinks of taking off the centre stand on a touring bike.

Neevesy says stuff in under 14 minutes that others struggle to sum up in 40 minutes . Top work ! Can’t see it beating the GT+
@bernienebenfuhr877310 ай бұрын
Agreed. His comments on the power delivery are interesting given it has a 150 BHP top whack...
@ttahola10 ай бұрын
It will probably beat GT+ in any measurable performance aspect. 120hp vs 150hp is quite a difference already on the paper, and considering Suzuki has a tendency to report much lower horsepower values than what you actually get, the difference could be much bigger. For the low end punch, though.. Well, they are completely different engines. CP3 is a beast as soon as you touch the throttle. GSX-S 1000 wakes up around 6000 RPM, but you can rev it to any road legal speed on the first gear.

Probably the best GX review by a mile 👍 I wonder how many other riders would buy this bike with a late GSXR motor, but stripped back with simple stock suspension, without all that electronic faffery & gizmos we just don't want in the first place ! The majority of us old school bikers are used to being able to control the bike & have more fun with merely a right wrist ! It would be a lot cheaper too, at least on par with a GT version 👍
@exothermal.sprocket11 ай бұрын
It's the stupid phenomenon with anything consumer product related these days, in that a corporation probably won't sell something unless it has equivalent faffery and gizmos to the competition. EVEN IF THEY ARE ENTIRELY UNNECESSARY. Whether it's a car, a phone, a motorcycle, a wrist watch, a TV, whatever the device or appliance or vehicle.... manufacturers are addicted to jamming them full of features. If they dare put something out without the features, it probably won't sell, even if the cost is less. Go on any social media that the Z900 is being featured. Read all the comments complaining that it doesn't stack up to the competition because ABC and XYZ features aren't also being offered. Does it need them? NO! Does Kawasaki care about the barrage of whining and complaints? Probably, yes. And they'll install all that stuff and drive up the price. It's a stupid, maddening cycle. Why is there such a general lack of contentment with the motorcycle public? Why are so many people nothing but feature whiners and complainers and FOMO (fear of missing out) sissies?

The K5 mill is a sublime engineering feat, probably the best Suzuki ever devised. I hope that Suzuki will see it fit to replace the sixth gear with an overdrive for this application, my 2020 GSX-s1000F with this engine screams at hwy speeds at higher rpm’s than is necessary . I love Michael's reviews and this one my response is Why. Why would I spend money on this one when it needs a safety feature to slow the bike down in a wobble, tour without a centerstand, paralyze myself with vibs on a long haul and get a headache from the wind turbulence. It is said that the most fun is between 30 and 110 and considering the features for touring together with the low end grunt, the Tracer GT+ wins hands down. That being said, nothing beats my 21, 1250RT for sport touring. Thanks for the great review Mickael.

Another honest review Neevesy, one thing that always puzzles me with new bikes, is Suzuki have gone to a lot of effort to make this bike the best with new tech etc, so why then handicap it with poor tyres, ok so I suspect there is probably some tie up with Dunlop, but if I were to buy one those would straight in the bin before it even left the dealers and a set of Pirelli Angel GT's fitted, which I found to be the best Touring road tyres on any bike I've ridden, horses for courses of course and just my opinion.

Great review. Thank you. Looking at the ECU numbers it is limited at the lower revs so a flash will fix the bottom end and mid range. Better pads for the Brembos and steel braided brake lines will fix that wooden feel and lastly getting rid of those rubbish tyres with a set of S22’s or 23’s and it will be an awesome bike. Which is what I’m currently doing with mine.

Wow. All of the reviews now days seem to be a bit too professional.. The review is great, BUT I feel like they are all for semi-pro or pro riders only. I feel sorry for the manufacturers. They now really need to predict things like how the bike e.g feels on certain revs in certain speed in certain road conditions etc. and in comparison to 5 different bikes. What about just a join from riding, reliability and safety. Obviously it helps us make well informed decisions while buying, but also it's very confusing as to which bike to choose? On the other hand I realise that after 2 years of watching such reviews, as a new rider I learned so much!! so thank you.

Curious to know if Michael Neeves would find the moove from my beloved Tiger Sport 1050 to a Gsxs 1000GX a big step up. Obviously i don't mean tech wise, off course... i mean confort, engine character, and chassis balance and stability. Still, the Triumph can take a top box with panniers and be stable at +200 km/h (so i've heard) and the engine is torquey at any rpm. ✌

Looks quite a nice bike, but seems fairly typical of Suzuki's recent releases that it's good but still lacking in key areas. They are really missing a trick not putting the current gsxr 1000 vvt engine in the gsxs range. Suzuki has become renowned for the stuff it should spec its bikes with but doesn't. @@TheCdubbleyoo I heard the same feedback. And that the rear rack is designed for very light application, like a soft bag. But I don't want a soft bag. And I don't want a sub frame that is not designed to handle the weight from a proper top case. And most notably, the very capable competition offers one, like my GS and the XR. So - I hear you and I hear Suzuki and I don't buy that there wasn't a way. In my view, every premium touring bike should have the option for a beautifully integrated solution from the OEM.
