Thanks to both MotorTrend and Ralph Gilles for putting the cars first. This sort of transparency from consumer, to journalist, and all the way up to corporate executive is a rarity in most industries. What we see resulting are better products, more satisfied consumers, and very happy car fanatics! It was also very refreshing to hear Ralph speak a bit about the other products on the market. A true car person is excited by more than their own coolade, and Ralph has a pulse. Keep it up!

Thanks to this video Mr. Gilles just won a whole bunch of new fans. This is the most honest down to earth guy I have seen in an interview. Sure the vehicle introductions are oh this is the best thing since sliced bread, but every automaker says that. In this interview he was up front, honest and direct. My congratulations to you Mr. Gilles SRT is in good hands. Can't wait to see what forthcoming from you guys.

Why is he so concerned about making the viper seem more user friendly? I love the fact that people are scared to drive it. Gives the car it's own character. Don't let the people decide who is the villain, I want the viper to be that car without question. It's always more fun when the bad guy wins. Besides my friend's grandma drives a vette… I hope I never have to say that about the viper.

V8Supercar1 The car is better. I'm just saying when he talks about the car he talks as if he is trying to let people know the car is more tame. It's a high powered light weight rear wheel drive car, it should scare people.

Best WOT ever done. Hats off to everybody involved. Heck, even the camera man and the man/woman who made the coffee. I can't tell you how gratifying it is to see a company Executive who actually KNOWS what they are talking about. Imagine that...a CEO who knows a thing or two about design and performance. And who GIVES A DAMN. He should be CEO of Chrysler when/if they go public. Again...hats off the Motor Trend. Please make more WOT like these!!!!
@JerseyMikeP8 жыл бұрын
For those that are interested 10:20sec is where they talk about the tires.. Ralph says the T/A is 2.5sec faster with Michelin cups like the Z06 has than the stock Pirelli Corsa's...so It would be 2 sec. faster than the 2016 Z06 and only .5sec behind the P1..and thats the old aero not the 2.0.

Only Motor Trend could get Ralph on tape discussing the negatives of a pre-production Viper. Just another reason why I watch and subscribe to Motor Trend. Owned nothing but Dodge and never will! Ralph Gilles is my new hero. I was very taken back by the way Ralph reacted to the first video, but now i realize its b/c he obviously puts in a lot of work to make his product the best and cares about the result. It takes a real man to admit he was wrong and apologize to those he had gotten angry with, Im glad everyone can sit down and talk about this like adults. I never really liked SRT's or the Viper, but i have A LOT more respect for them now b/c of Ralph, i hope i get to meet him one day.

I work for Mitsubishi and it is very refreshing to see a true car guy and enthusiast, Ralph is the type of guy every car maker should have. He listens to people's feedback and thats rare with manufactures today. I wish Mitsubishi would do the same with their vehicles and be relevant once again. Specially with all the racing technology at their disposal.unfortunately Mitsubishi has people with no passion that have no clue about being true car people. They are just collecting a pay check.

This is the best round table yet. A good thoughtful discussion and adding a designer in the mix. Congrats for helping Viper build a better car. Because of GM. Ford remade the mustang 3 times since 2009 and Dodge remade the challenger and the charger 2 times and now the viper will undergo a 3rd remake because of the corvette.
