@@RAFAEL199O Toyota has some major issues too with certain years/makes. Of course Toyota still tops the charts for reliability though. It's unfortunate that Toyota's only recently gotten comfortable with its interior ergonomics. I don't see me being able to afford new anytime soon. Ford had this comfortability for taller individuals like myself down pat back in 2006.

I have a '22 4Runner Limited and really like it. Great SUV. I will likely trade it in for a new Land Cruiser this summer instead of another 4Runner. Although the 4Runner is very sharp as well. Both good choices. Land Cruiser will be much more expensive and fairly rare.

@@billricheter5678 I buy my 4Runners new and keep them about 2 1/2 years. I put very few miles on them as it is a third vehicle. I can trade them in after 2-3 years with low miles and it costs less than $10k over this time period for depreciation. A Land Rover / Range Rover would cost me $40k plus in depreciation over the same time period. The Land Cruiser will likely hold its value well and be a nice change. 4Runner is an outstanding vehicle as well.

We have a 2015 4runner bought new. Used heavily mechanically but being cleaned most of the time. We had 190,000 miles out of it before we traded it in ‘23. The they gave us a copy of the carfax, we didn’t realize that the SUV has done only 7 oil changes in 190,000 miles. 🤣 most durable car we ever owned and didn’t need any service done. Just tires, air filter and oil changes. We now have a 2023 Lexus LX. Toyota the best and most dependable car!

I owned a 2013 Ford F150 Platinum 4x4 with the 1st gen Ecoboost and got 9 yrs of great service from that motor. And to prove I'm not a small displacement turbo or hybrid apologist, I replaced it with a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 w/ 6.2l V-8. I just felt like I'd better snatch a V-8 before they're not an option for US truck buyers.

There's some subtile differences, such as which one has more space, the pop out vs roll down rear window, third row option vs no third row option, 12.3 vs 14 inch screen, hybrid standard vs hybrid option so on and so forth

@@Rapido20 Sorry turbo head, this high strung motor will not be as dependable as the old 6 which is what Toyota is known for. I would expect engine wear around 150k along with turbo replacement. Towing large loads will shorten the drivetrains life considerably. People buy Toyotas to last, not need repairs or replacement.

Toyota has no intention of going full electric, being that they clearly stated that they can use the same amount of rare earth materials to produce more hybrid vehicles in contrast to fewer EVs. It's called the 1:6:90 rule.

They NEED to figure out how to put a 3rd row for the Hybrid motor version! That is critical for people with large families who go on road trips. That extra power when towing things and extra mileage (range) is important for people who decide to get a luxury platinum or limited model but need the seating with the power.

I might just buy the lexus 550 this time since i like luxury and the power behind it. I’ve waited for this 4runner reveal for so many years. You know something this show on the PBS channel been around when the only other choice for auto industry insider info was a magazine. What I'm not understanding is why Motor Week doesn't use their voice & opinion to say c'mon these 4cyl engines are giving a false sense of reliability & fuel economy in particular the turbo variants i know from experience the most reliable domestic 2.4 4cyl turbo or natural aspirated built by mistibushi this was in the mid to late 1980's Keep the 3.5 V6 for the people who faithfully swore by Toyota motor weak not allowed to drive a car

Will it be sold outside North America? If so, as 4Runner, Land Cruiser Sport, or simply Land Cruiser for markets such as Latin America i.e. Brazil, Europe i.e. Britain and Ireland, and some Southeast Asian countries that sell neither the Prado nor the big-ass Land Cruiser no longer sold stateside except as the Lexus LX? I do like the exterior, its not too crazy but gives it that off-road appeal, both in TRD and the more street oriented trim levels. I'm not a fan of that huge iPad looking screen, if it was a little smaller, it would defeintily be a little less intrusive.

The larger 14-inch screen is optional. A smaller 8-inch screen standard on lower trims.
