Duffel coats are really cool for sure. To be fair though, I havent looked at them for quite some time! I'd suggest sticking to the basics: wool or a decent blend, made in a country known for high standards in manufacturing, and always see if any good reviews pop up online.

I have a nylon duffle with a drop bottom for shoes or whatever, this duffle would be fantastic with a drop bottom, drop bottom duffle's are not easy to find unless there big 36" or more, wish mfg.'s would add the drop bottom just adds more function

I bought a professor 2 after your last review, but it looks like with this collection they are trying to just slightly undercut filson instead of providing the great value their heritage collection provided. I don't see how a canvas backpack can be almost twice as expensive as a full leather briefcase. Still I think there is less competition for this type of bag in europe so they will probably be pretty popular if the quality holds up.

why the sides need DOUBLE leather overstraps while the ends can do with merely a stitched hooks ?? if the bag is heavy then those stitched wouldn't do,....
