He didn't want Kimble getting shot either but was too tough to admit it. I love to imagine the 2 became friends down the road one day. It's definitely not a happy ending for Kimble but he is a strong man who even risked capture to save a boy's life while posing as a janitor.

Love this movie, but the whole conspiracy was a house of cards in the face of a tornado. Granted Nichols was one of the original patent holders for the drug he was getting approved, and would make a bit of money. Whether or not it had been approved though, the liver damage the drug causes would have come to light soon followed by lawsuits and criminal charges so this would only be short term.

I agree. It didn’t make sense why Nichols would go through that much just to promote a crappy drug. It felt unrealistic. But that’s the Hollywood aspect of it. It wouldn’t have been a movie otherwise. The other part that didn’t make sense was why Nichols was so defending and protective of Kimble to Tommy Lee Jones. Aside from that, love the movie.
