You know what touched me and sold me on this Peter Parker? I only really noticed it in my second viewing but it's when Tony asks what his MO is and he tells him about all that but then says the stuff about football and goes "But I couldn't then so I shouldn't now." Like this kid is still taking the god damn train (and apparently missing it sometimes) and he won't use it in his personal life. I actually quite liked Zemo as a villain, and totally saw Bucky's involvement in the death of Tony's parents coming after Winter Soldier. Also, I'm fine with Marisa Tomei being Aunt May. She's 51, Peter's supposed to be about 15. That feels pretty reasonable. Criticisms: 1) Crossbones dying. Could have been arrested for future involvement, or played a bigger role in the movie. 2) Steve & Sharon's kiss so soon after Peggy's death. I know Peggy had moved on, but the timing just seemed off.
@popeyeschicken35358 жыл бұрын
Crossbones knew he had lost.. What important role would he had played his character really isnt all that.. I agree with number two maybe they set the relationship up so she dies in a future movie.
@TyrannosavageRekt8 жыл бұрын
***** Sure, Peggy had moved on with things, but she was still clearly very important to Steve (see The Winter Soldier, and Scarlet Witch's nightmare sequence during Age of Ultron, as well as the funeral here). I just found it slightly jarring that the first person he's interested in is essentially her closest(?) relative, and despite them having built very little chemistry. They barely saw each other during the events of The Winter Soldier, and clearly haven't been close since (SHIELD fell, after all).

I am surprised how many didn't see the part with Tony's parents coming. I knew it the second they showed it the first time - but then, I knew the date when they died and I did pay attention doing The Winter Soldier. They made up for the lack of surprise on my part though when they showed how brutal Bucky killed them. I didn't see that coming, I thought they died during the crash itself. The Title cards were the ONE thing I REALLY didn't like about the movie, not one bit. It was overdone, and for the Queens moment, it wasn't necessarily at all, because in the scene before Black Widow asks Tony where he intends to find help. He could have simply answered "Queens" and then they cut to the scene there.

I just whatched the film on thursday! It's awesome. Still Team Stark ^^ I completly agree with his opinion, that they can't just do what they want. They are a force and there has to be someone to control them (though I always thought Fury was doing that^^). Anyway I don't think, Stark just brushed off what Cap said. He did his research afterwards, didn't he, and moreso than Cap he even found proof, that Buck wasn't involved in the attack. The problem I think, to a great degree, was that Cap never really spoke with stark. He mentioned, the supersoldiers once, but he didn't give him any reason to actually believe him. He didn't even tell him, how exactly Cap knew. Cap even mentioned, that he didn't want to talk to Tony, that he couldn't trust him in this, and afterwards, I got the feeling, Cap was keep Tony away from Buck, for him not to find out, that he killed Starks family. I think the whole thing would have gone completly different, if Cap had just talked to Stark to begin with.

I feel like there is no single "best" Marvel movie. There are 3 - 5 equally elite movies, any one of which you could pick as your own personal favorite, for personal reasons. Like you could argue that Guardians, Winter Soldier, the first Iron Man, etc. are the top Marvel films, and you wouldn't be unreasonable. I'd definitely put Civil War in that upper echelon of the MCU, but whether or not it's my "favorite" is yet to be seen. Winter Soldier's been my favorite for two years now, but it didn't become my favorite until the 3rd or 4th viewing. I still need to digest this movie.

Feel free to voice a different opinion if you disagree with me, but does anyone find it interesting how in contrast to both Avengers movies (which seem to go out of their way to make sure that everyone has equal story relevance [except Thor in Ultron, sort of]) this movie has a very clear descending hierarchy of who has most bearing on the themes and plot;1. Steve, Bucky and Tony are all sort of shared protagonists,2. Zemo and T'Challa who have almost as much to do but aren't really in on the emotional struggle of the above three,3. Wanda, Vision, and Peter, who are all firmly supporting roles but of the supporting characters have the most focus and reflect the themes of responsibility most clearly,4. Natasha, Clint, Sam and Rhodey, all of whom are just as relevant as Wanda/Vision/Peter but who's values and representations relative to guilt and responsibility are alluded to less explicitly.5. Scott, who of all the powered characters is definitely the one who's absence would be least conspicuous if you just took him out of the movie, but who still works as a representation of anti-authority altruism the same way Steve does.6. Ross and Sharon, who are mostly there to be the more broad representation of Steve and Tony's sides.

In the comics Black Panther has intense training and a connection to the panther god which gives him some superhuman abilities.

15:10 *WRONG!* This movie, as well as the previous two Captain America movies, the Avengers 3 movies, and Thor 2, are all written by the duo of Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Weird that Captain America was only out in AMERICA on the 6th of May. It was out on the 27th of April in France. I wonder why that is.

+Colt Baudoux house of m would be awesome to see, too bad fox owns the rights to the X Men. Can't really pull it off without them.

+Jake Lafake true, they pulled off civil war without the xmen ... dark reign may be an easier story to do, man phase 4 sounds like soo much fun haha

Black Panther is indeed enhanced. He gets his strength and agility from eating a special herb. I'd say that his abilities are on par with Captain America's.

In the comics black panther power come from like a panther God and that how he gains power, he also was put through training by his father. I think the ring always him to access some of this panther power, but could be a bit different in the movie.
