I've seen all these found footage movies, and this one is really good. There are some weak acting moments, and the family are a little annoying at times, but this is one really cool movie. Especially loved the camera getting sucked into the atmosphere and then dropped back to earth. Give this one a watch for sure!

ever heard of that classic novel by HG wells the war of the worlds in that book the aliens did not have shields or any of that sure their armor was strong but it was indestructible heavy cannons took down some of the aliens sure it wasn't enough to stop them but the humans stillput up a good fight and that took place in 1899 so you never now we might not be advanced but we're not primitive apes anymore we have weapons and we have intelligence sure basic intelligence but we are not dumb just because the aliens are advanced doesn't make them gods btw have you ever heard of guerilla warfare look it up oh and go watch the film when aliens attack then come back and say they are unstoppable

No it's not, I want more realistic. If you're scared, you go into a mode of "ultra steroids" and pretty much don't breathe. In this film, they make SO MUCH FRICKEN NOISE!!! And they think aliens don't have night vision!!! They have to go through space, they should be able to see in the dark!!!

Dark Skies was one of the best E.T./Alien movies I've ever seen. Unfortunately they didn't show what their craft looks like but that's fine... No one knows what UFO or their "pilots" really look like anyway. Could be a hologram by all appearances.

To be honest I was terrified of the trailer, I've always been a little freaked out about this topic but so interested. And hey I don't want any rational or hasty people commenting any religious beliefs or how extraterrestrial dont exists... but I kinda think there real in a way. I mean if anybody here has seen dark skies it's totally relatable to this movie, like at the part where the birds fly towards the car same thing happened in the other movie where 3 different flock of birds flew to the family's house. I mean there no hardcore proof that aliens do exists. But there's many people that have seen & experienced extraterrestrial activity, but those people are pushed away for society as indifferent or abnormal. "But just because you can't see something doesn't mean it isn't there". So yeah I just wanted to share my feelings about this trailer or the subject itself. And cause I was bored. . .

just watched this today, they only found the footage because the aliens threw the handycam in the trash chute and it fell back to earth..... from space....and survived impact.
