Thank you for your tutorials. I was looking everywhere for a way to make pegs appear in the x-sheet.

I'm pleased this was helpful. I've seen users asking for pegs to be shown on the xsheet, but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe one day.

Using layers as stand-ins for pegs is such a great idea and tip! The way it gives you the ability to see and edit the keyframes on the XSheet / Timeline and do a simple repeat makes me wonder ---- is there any good reason to not always use dummy layers instead of pegs? (Sorry if you should already have answered this in your other video, haven't watched that yet.)

Thanks Pervelle. I wish pegs would be shown on the xsheet. Then there'd be no need to do this. But until then, there's dummy columns as pegs. Also, you can't repeat your peg key movement, but you can repeat column key movements. The only reason you might not want to do this is if you're happy to use the function editor for editing the keys, which isn't hard. And it keeps your xsheet neater, with fewer columns. But I like seeing the keys on the xsheet. I know some users prefer pegs to give them a separation of purpose. Movement on pegs, scale on the xsheet - or similar. I guess it's a personal choice. But at least with OpenToonz, we have the choice.

@@DarrenTAnims Thanks Darren. It does keep the XSheet neater; although I have to say with the options to both fold and creating subXSheets, I don't find this a big problem. Plus, if I understood things correctly, diting directy through the function editor is just as possible using your trick?---> Very much on board with your personal preferences :)
