Oh, this has been so much fun to watch - I'm glad you had such a lovely little birthday getaway :D I'm actually so jeaulous though - I'm from Germany and my family and I have spent our holidays in England (or, more specifically, in the Cotswolds) for as long as I can remember. Only last autumn we've been to the Mount Inn, and it hurt quite a bit to see you go there (that veggie burger looked incredible!) I really shouldn't be complaining though, as I'm already counting the days until I'll be there again in only about three week's time :D

The driving fear is very real!! It took me 5 attempts to pass and even then it was with lots of minors. I was terrified when I started driving alone, but my second drive ended up being 50 minutes away. Now I routinely do that drive, and have driven nearly 2 hours to a city considerably busier than my town with considerably different road systems, and I was terrified but did it! My work forces me to do it and it’s so helpful

I wish I could drive to somewhere with a castle! Thats so cool! (That's Europe for you and I live in boring not so old USA) Technically if I drive about 3 hours north I can see a castle, but it is less than 80 years old and was never lived in and just has walls, nothing else.
