I can’t imagine having to do this every fall. Kudos to you for being so determined to keep the tropical vibe going year after year.😊🌴

Yeah, it's a lot of work but I just love having them around. And the hard work is just a couple of days a year, well worth it.

I love the long rambling videos😊 I do the same thing, but in my head. Because I don't have an audience. Or a youtube channel😅

So fascinating to watch the shift to the new season set up. My major change is moving orchids that need to stay dry until February. I'd be a wreck gardening anywhere but Maui.

It's a totally different game in Maui, I bet you have it all figured out!

Tis the season for flying palm trees! It doesn’t feel like we had a very long summer this year, our winters seem to drag on endlessly here in the UK and I dread them more and more every year. On the upside I am looking forward to seeing you plant up some winter interest and very interested in how these pop up greenhouses do in your garden. Brilliant video once again Jeff! Sending you and your furry family lots of love xxx

Hi Jeff! It's always sad seeing the palm trees leaving, but you're right, everything else still looks really good and the palms being gone didn't make a really big impact. A road trip to buy palm trees would be so much fun! I hope you're able to work that in to your schedule. I looked up the Pink Sunburst canna lily and it's so pretty. I hope you can find some to replace the cannas that you have. I think a Taylor juniper, or the "Sting" arborvitae would look really good in that corner, especially if you can get the Pink Sunburst canna lily. Please don't worry about "rambling". I really enjoy just listening to you talking about your gardens, and your plans for what you want to do. Loved the intro with Pumpkin on the counter looking so cute, and seeing Toby, Poppy and Turbo. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next. Thank you so much for sharing!

Awwww seemed like a short summer....getting cool at night, rain starting. in P.N.W. Oregon. Putting leaves around bottom of Bananna trees. Planted a big tote with Pak Choi....will do another one with the red cabbage starts...the totes will go on deck and get pulled into sun room if it freezes. The lettuce did amazing in the tote on the deck under the glass table so water did not fill no holes in bottom. Not 1 bug hole in the lettuce pick a salad. They came back. Thanks Jeff, Love your videos.

I know what you mean. Feels like it was just springtime! Good idea using the tote for the cabbage!

HI Jeff, well, palm trees airborne, yep, summer is over! (Same zone as yours). I took my plants indoors 2 weeks ago, we're freezing/am frost here. Toby looks great! A successful surgery!

Seems like the palms were not at your house as long this year. You have such a diverse amount of tropical plants you are correct that the palms are not missed which is a good thing

It’s amazing to me how dogs know EXACTLY what they want and are not going to be tricked into doing something that they don’t want to do. I DIDN’T teach my dog how to get my attention when she wanted something, I think she trained me. If she wants out she continually runs from me to the door and if I’m not getting up and letting her out and I’m sitting in my chair she starts pouncing off my chair AND if that doesn’t work she jumps on me and gives me her paw. She usually just wants to go out and watch what is going on outside ( squirrels ) and rabbits and birds. And when I’m not sitting correctly in my chair she gives me her paw so I move and make room for her on my lap. Amazing how she figured that out. I can pretty much guess her intentions, she has ME trained well. 🤗 🎃🍁💚🙃

After my daughter’s house fire they moved in with us dog and all. When they were able to get back on their feet, the dog, Maggie stayed with us, we had more room, anyway Maggie grew old and had problems with her hips, she was a yellow lab a big dog, she would lay on her side lift her tail and take a poop. I guess it hurt too much to get up and we couldn’t carry her. When she started peeing like that and would flood the floor we HAD to make a decision about her. She’s in pain ,she’s very old and can’t walk outside anymore so the decision was made to put her to sleep, a VERY sad day that was. She’s buried on our farm and boy was that a hard hole to dig in clay but we all know where Maggie is, a wonderful , beautiful dog that will forever be in our hearts. Maggie “ our big yellow dog “ . ❤️ 🎃🍁💚🙃

that christmas palm is topping out, let me know if your intersted in a pallet load of four 25 gallons in the spring roughly 8-10ft singles, doubles and triples.

That’s a great offer! I’ll keep that in mind for spring! Though I am running out of room, doesn't mean I won't make bad choices next year.

This is the scariest video! I'm always waiting for a pot to fall off or a tree to break. Do you have kids in your neighborhood? If you do, they must love watching the trees flying around.
@judymckerrow67203 ай бұрын
I THINK because the trees are so water stressed they’re losing their leaves early. At least in my area. 🎃🍁💚🙃

I wished you lived in Hawaii so you wouldn’t have to disassemble your garden. It makes me so sad when you have to store your plants and send the palms away . I have to wait so many months to see your beautiful gateway paradise garden complete again. I will keep watching because you are a ray of sunshine in my life.

I would not plant a Arborvitae outside my door to save my life. I see the beauty in them but I have never seen anything be a spider mite magnet as those are. Even with spraying them outside I could just never defeat the spider mites with them and the nightmare of them blowing in the front door. I dunno I'm in 6A and maybe its to do with my state location but try as I might until I moved Arborvitae's just were such a pain. I don't mind the noises that is life and I kinda dig you too also have ADHD cause I like the subject jumps cause my brain works the same. That was a lot of work on those palms 🌴🌴🌴🌴📦📦📦 packing up summers end.

Hi Jeff 👋 Jen from zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast here. 😊 I have been worried about my Hawaiian Ti Cordyline Red Sisters in a pot, she is 5 ft tall and I call her "Beauty" 😊 right now she's on the North side of my house and I told hubby we need to move her on the South (SE) facing side. It's on Concrete with about a 4 ft. Overhang. Against the house (actually from the front door out is a 6 car Concrete driveway) Along with all my potted houseplants. Should be good (?) Last year we dropped to 19° for like 3 days or so, so I thought if that's the case just throw sheets or old curtains over everything 🤔 what cha think? You have accomplished a lot, and I think it may have seemed simpler because of your planning 😉 I do not consider you "rambling" I love to hear the dreams and planning process etc. It's a plant channel. Also you know we love seeing all the fur babies/critters. Never apologize for any of that. I looked up that Pink Sunburst Canna and OH WOW 😮😍 I am in love and need one 😁 I am always a nervous wreck when they take my favorite Palm of yours the HUGE 3 trunk one by the gate. 🤪😂 Thank you for sharing another WONDERFUL video, I sooo look forward to seeing you and critters and what's up 😍 You take great care Jeff, and we will see you Wednesday 😊
