Moving to my first base| Minot AFB Dorm Tour Vlog

Hi guys! I’m back and I’m now at my new dorm at Minot Air Force Base, ND. Wanted to take you guys on the day I got here and how I rearranged my dorm to my liking. Just trying to make my new home feel like home.

Thanks for this video. I spent two years at Minot in the late 70’s as a missile technician and will never forget it. Good luck on your time in the Air Force and thank you for your service. Stay warm!

Having a roommate is required for tech school(correct?), but when you begin your career, do you move out and locate a new base without a roommate? Like how does it work?

Wow. Much nicer than we had in 1983. When I was there, I clearly remember the night they told is that females would now be able to choose MOS 81150 and not just law enforcement. 👍🏻

My first base assignment was overseas at Lajas Field,AZORES’83-84.Don’t really know if we still have a base there anymore?..Still I loved my 15 month tour experience there,everything was great in my SUPPLY SQUADRON,super memories.Back in my early days,people warned me about Minot AFB for the COLD ISOLATED times there,total shithole,!!!Still I hope that you enjoy your first duty station,obviously much different today…Like anything,it’s just what you make it out to be…”WHY NOT MINOT?” was the saying back then…you’ll figure it all out.Take care 👍

Welcome to Minot lol it aint that bad once you get used to the cold. Def make the best of it as much as you can and really get yourself out there. Been here a year and honestly, coming from a big city i thought I'd hate it but we vibin
