I lived in Poway for 10 yrs and would go back if it was affordable (think year 2000). Extremely low crime rate and you basically never have to leave, but close to all freeways if you do and East County is just down the 67. Its getting to be older and still cant find any places under $1M (except rarely for sale condos/ townhomes). Lots of good food places (Poway Sushi Lounge, Hop Stop, etc)

Bought my first home in Poway on December 24 2019! Right before Covid and the interest rates were lower than they are now. Plus we actually have a large back yard about half an acre of land. Unlike what we had in Otay Ranch where we came from. I believe my family and I made the right decision and love living here. My daughter who’s now 17 started middle school here. Had to make adjustments at first and now a junior in high school loves her school and made lots of friends. Chula Vista is great but way crowded more than ever in the Eastlake/ Otay ranch area. Definitely don’t miss that! All the things you described are so true both pros and cons about Poway. Just glad we moved here at the right time. I would recommend anyone moving or visiting the little city in the country. 😊👍

Lived in Poway for 18 years. The taxes are Stoopid and it’s getting crazy crowded. Had to get out after son graduated. We did move there purposely for the schools. What? There are a few hot days over 100. 90 is not hot ugh
