Hello from Tri Cities, WA. After scalping and overseeding this fall I have kept it green at 1.5”… the true test will come during the hot summer weeks where it’s consistently 100+ degrees with no rains in sight for months. Technically dessert on this side of eastern Washington.

That grass looks super delicious . . . great payoff from the last year+ of work! I mowed my PRG at about 3.5 this year as experiment. I notched it down to 2.5", overseeded and sprayed generic Tenacity to see what it would do to my growing creeping bentgrass problem. About 2 weeks in and those bentgrass spots are slowly turning white. Hoping to be able to salvage my PRG crop without a reno. Kind of exciting that it looks to be working.

Anything lower than 2 inches, I end up scalping since my lawn is pretty bumpy. I have a TF/KBG/PR blend. Many of the pros suggest cutting tall, but I just think it looks messy up close. Been cutting at about 3 inches this summer, but I’m trying about 2.5 inches since it is getting cooler.
