I get why they exist. I wouldn't want some ghetto person moving in and driving my property value down. However, I honestly don't see how it's legal or even enforceable. If I buy land, it's my land. How on earth can anyone enforce rules/laws of a property you own. Or make you sign 'community rules' in order to purchase it.
@L44tsmasher7355 жыл бұрын
@@psygn0sis Actually, if you buy land in the city, you just have the rights to the land, it's truly the governments, hence why you have to get a permit to do anything. And the government allows HOA's to exist. Only way to truly own your land, is to actually buy the land it's sitting on, which city governments wont allow you to.

To me the yard isn't that bad. Here in Oregon, our grass grows fast. Grass can get that tall in 6 to 8 days certain times of the year. If you skip a week, look out. @@Straight_White_Fatherly_Figure my neighbour dog sure had a field day because the fence between our yard was liwn and rotten so the dog could jump it but we could not see said dog in the grass and also just recently I have been kicked from my house because my grass was to long but people were mad about because apparently I held the record for longest grass and I didn't know

Good grief. The HOA was complaining about this?! I’ve seen WAY WORSE yards in HOA communities. So I’m glad I moved out of one. Anyway. Nice job tidying up the yard.

that's the first time I've seen a riding mower where you stand on it to ride around they don't have anything like that around here where I live not that I know of but nice video brings back the days I used to work for a guy that did mowing and trimming for bank owned properties plus he had his own carpet cleaning business

Thanks for watching and commenting! They are called stand on mowers, and I love them! They aren't as good for BIG properties, my knees start to ache, but 9 times out of 10 I am not on big properties.

Just moved from a neighborhood without an HOA into a neighborhood with an HOA. What a difference! And I don't mean that in a bad way! No more neighbors with houses that look terrible! No more crap, old boats, old cars, appliances, etc. sitting in my neighbors yards! I use to have the nicest yard and house on the street and now it's just average which I'm totally OK with! HOA's make everyone keep their houses looking nice and keep the value of the houses up. It was really hard to sell my old house because every time people would drive down the street, they had already made up their minds that they were buying it, which drove down the selling price of my house. My HOA is also pretty cheap and from what I've heard, they aren't overly restrictive, they just want to keep the houses and yards looking nice! Fine with me, I'll gladly pay the low monthly fee and abide by the rules!

It reminds me of working the barbershop I had to run when Uncle had the stroke for a year! Mom said now get on down there and just open the door and see what you can do. Well I remember cutting and cutting and wondering how much hair those people could have, I have never seen those Afros with so much hair, I would sit around sharpening and sharpening those clippers, it seemed like cutting small wires. Boy was I glad when Uncle walked in one day, I looked at him and just gave him a big hug and walked out, that was the last time I have been to downtown Philadelphia.
