Hope this video goes into more depth than most others on this joystick and also helps explain the value of FFB to people that have not tried it. Thanks for all the support BLESSED BE THE FFB !

Great video! Did you give up on the twisty stick extension for rudder? Is it broken, do you recommend it or not for rudder, or only as a way to get a longer stick? (Who doesn't want a longer stick? ahem!)
@Belatu4215 сағат бұрын
Good point about the z-axis for helicopters. Most people don’t realize that using the twist for tail rotor control causes you to make other unwanted inputs with the cyclic. Helicopters are super sensitive and that tiny bit of unwanted input can really make it difficult to fly. You’re better off with a paddle axis than the z-axis for helis if you don’t have pedals.

Been running mine for a couple of months and it's amazing. We recently got a hardware trim option for MSFS as well, which although not perfect gets around the fact of no native ffb. I'm tempted to change the MH16 stick at some point, it's great but the hats don't allow centre click and there are no axis buttons. The software is still a bit clunky but its easy enough to use, it ups the immersion factor and the dynamic nature of the strength/spring based on outside forces and the plane itself is way better than playing with spring tension. Price is relatively high compared to non ffb options, but for a FFB option its actually very reasonable when compared to the Brunner and comparable to a reasonable direct drive car set up

The TM warthog stick works perfectly btw, software actually just picks it up as a MH16 stick.

Had the pleasure to fly in msfs2024 a beechcraft in some “turbulence” literally couldn’t stop it climbing and overspending (idle, propelle back you name it). Moza base is the new shit, i use it with some virpil stick. Don’t forget about trimming pressure, not the most precise but it’s nice to have it.

real pilot here, youre wrong about not feeling wind in the yoke. you feel gusts, none fly by wire should feel the wind deflecting on the elevator and alerion, the stick will have sudden and strong pulls, to the point you have to counter turn to return to straight and level flight. I hope to feel that while flight simming as well. especially if you get into the different types of turbulence, lower speed windshear should lead to a mushy feeling on the controls
@GamerMuscleVideos12 сағат бұрын
@@TheLebronOfCooking well obviously in a real aircraft you will feel anything that has the affect of changing pressure on control surfaces or deflecting controll services as the yoke is connected to them , the speed of wind and angle of wind that does that and to what degree will then vary. The speed of the aircraft should also greatly affect the degree to which turbulence affects controll services relative to the turbulence. I'd imagine there is really interesting documentation on it and probably the data to know how to set up things to feel as close as possible with Sims and ffb devices. I probably wasn't very clear in the video , you can set up turbulence with ffb joystick to suddenly tug on the stick but I don't think it operates precisely like it does in real life / is not a proper simulation of it. Wind or directions of wind that suddenly remove lift from the control surfaces again should be possible but will depend on what's driving the telemetry and to what degree that's simulated , it could probably be faked in a very convincing way mind you. At the moment , as far as I'm aware only a fake semi fixed form of turbulence "effect" will give the sudden tugg type effect on the stick with ffb joysticks I have used. Can get some feel for turbulence with the G-force effect but I don't think it will really operate quite right / will happen too slowly and also give false input on the stick if used aggressively.

I would love to see a video on how you mounted it . I have a desktop, office chair, my WinWing Orion 2 HOTAS clamps to my desktop with clamps. I am highly interested in this stick but how to mount it is what is holding me back.

Can you do another vid on your pedal set up on 2024 and the Vjoy or whatever it’s called, cheers GM.
@midnight729743 минут бұрын
just started watching this one, but what I'd like to see with this stick is how it reacts in dcs etc specifically when you get hit. My MS Force Feedback stick in ye olde days I aways remember feeling quite hard the bump as take a hit from the someones gun on Ms Combat Flight Sim. I've not managed to see any vid showing that aspect of it yet

you can set up hits to jolt joystick its just an effect , back with older joysticks as well its just fixed jalt played when x damage is redgistered.

I love how people talk about this like its something brand new! But it exist since 1997, my dad had a Microsoft Sidewinder and it was already EXTREMELY good, i think its WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY too expensive, its not new tech guys. This is almost as old as me.
@GamerMuscleVideos49 минут бұрын
Your comment implies that I'm not aware of a sidewinder , we have talked about it loads on this channel and covered it in multiple videos. joysticks like this Moza and the Brunner are new tech in that the motors are of way higher standard to what is in the Sidewinder and the whole telemetry driven software that works independent of direct input again is really quite different , the quality of the joysticks and other aspects are also quite different. But sure the sidewinder 1 and 2 did alot of the fundamentals in a great package for £170 and the 2Nm or so force of sidewinder was quite decent as well , though no where near as detailed smooth or dynamic as these newer sticks.

Its the same mount and conector that Thrustmaster warthog uses , im not sure what its name it. It uses a mini Din socket / cable imgur.com/a/SeN4BRA Not sure what the screw is but basically virpil - Thrustmaster - Brunner all use same conector and screw mount

Will this be better than the GOAT Microsoft Sidewinder FFB 2?
@WillsB319 сағат бұрын
The problem with the sidewinder is that since Msfs has no ffb and FSForce does not support this sim afaik there’s no way to get the ffb working with MSFS 2024

Is this something for a lazy user? E.g. do I have to set it up / download a profile for every plane individually to get a good experience? I’ve never really gotten the hang of configuring my Fanatec wheelbase (except copying settings from forums) and this looks way more complex. Thanks!
@GamerMuscleVideos21 сағат бұрын
You can just set some prity basic settings and have a good time , its like any ffb device. To be honest with fantec wheel just set - EN: 900 FF: 35 LIN: OFF NDP: 20 NFR: Off NIN: OFF INT :02 FEI: 70 FOR: 100 SPR: OFF DPR: 100 BLI: 90 SHO : 70 MPS : AUTO And that will work with fast majority of cars , can just add or remove NDP if wheel is too overactive or add remove strength.

I am sorely tempted by the base but it is well out of my price range. Most likely will keep the old base and just get the new stick to fit to my Thrustmaster Base if they are compatible.

@GamerMuscleVideos13 сағат бұрын
@@ChrisSuperTube someone did this with a Logitech ffb stick in 2005 or so but the issue is drift and detection , with today's ffb joysticks it should be possible , also novint falcon could do it that came out 2010 or so

@GamerMuscleVideos yeah. The hardware looks great. It's it's one of those software problems where you need a smart enough guy that's bored enough, with enough free time, and who likes sim driving manual cars.
