Mpc Key 61 crashes in controller mode

So when I change my input or output to the mpc key 61 it crashes. 5/5 repeatability
Lol I used to test video games now akai has me testing the key 61 that I bought. Wow. Anyway that’s why I like stand-alone.

I use to have this issue on windows with the X. The computer audio system or other audio interface is set to a different sample rate (48k, 44k, 96k etc.) than the mpc keys and the software is trying to switch sample rates but it can't. The way I fixed this was to make sure my computer & audio interface sample rate matches the Akai. No more crashes after that.

Yep. Mine crashed twice yesterday when I switched it for the sound to come out the 61 in the software

I would say that the crash cases that I have heard about or been witness to, especially since 2.10... 95% of the time... Controller Mode I've been using akai stuff since 1989, so TRUST that Standalone Mode has been rigorously tested for over 30 years... solid. This Controller Mode, tho... where you get access to all your fancy 3rd party plug ins, the FX and the instruments, and ALSO the MPC is a VST... AND a DAW, all talking to each other on WILDLY different systems... what?? 🤯 Akai hasn't been doing THAT for that long, ya'll. I do a hybrid The 1st chunk of my beat is created in Standalone, and then I import all the MPC stuff into the DAW to FINISH (vocals & mixing!!!) with all those incredible VSTs If u have them both running at the same time, be ready to REBOOT Good luck

I’ve had over 200 -300 crashes in one year prolly all in controller mode I spoeke to Mpc customer service they basically said get a new computer and test it on there and get back to them 💀😒😒😒

I've been hearing people (who previously said their mpc never crashed) mention a lot of crashes/issues with the newest software update

So far, no issues on my end. I've had it since Monday and everything seems to be working fine. On Windows, though... Updated my Live 2 and same thing... all good.

Are you using the outs on the mpc key in controller mode.

hey man I was using my MPC in controller mode, while in controller mode connected to my PC I changed the name of file folder containing a few projects. After re-naming it the folder disappeared along with the projects. Is there any way I can locate the mentioned folder and projects? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Mine has crashed a few times . Sometimes I think some of my plugins make the software crash .
