You can say that about the entire 11th season..just a complete misfire. The only good things were Dennis Miller and to a lesser extent Jon Lovitz. The following year they added a lot more solid talent especially with their biggest breakout act since Eddie with getting Dana Carvey. Unfortunately, they wouldn't have any black actors for several more years.

Over time, he got more and more frustrated. So with this skit, he said F it and played it like this. (Lorne also wanted him to wear a cop uniform here and he said no)

Clearly, Fallon kissed Lorne's ass enough at SNL to keep a spot on that show for as long as he did and then with Lorne's pull at NBC, was given the Tonight Show. All the funny people out there, and that's the guy they landed on? Heck, Conan O'Brien had to go to TBS, as funny as he is, and THIS is the guy they kept? One of the worst products of SNL.

I believe the reason Wayans performance was hated is that it took away from the actual joke of the skit. People didn't know what they were supposed to be laughing at. That being said, this would have been a crappy skit that no one would have remembered had it not been for Wayans.

I'm happy Damon did this, for what we got out of it, however I do get why snl would be pissed lol the joke writer wrote the sketch about the monopoly man as a lawyer, that's were the jokes are suppose to come from and the premise of the sketch, he's the comic relief, and it would have been better in that sense with two serious cops, Damon making the cop girly, pulls the comic relief on to him, splitting the focus, and making the monopoly man less funny, Damon's cop should have been it's own sketch imo.
