He doesn't choregraphs for song instead if you watch closely you would see that he actually choreographed for every beat and instruments that you hear. He is also known as Indian Michael Jackson. As a technician and choreographer the best comparison for Prabhudeva is actually Jackie Chan. Both of them are extremely unique with their choreography (one is fights and the other is dance of course, still), Inject a lot of humour into their act, are perfectionists for timing and synchronisation, multiple takes for a sequence, Long takes with no cuts, fast edits and steady cameras. Both of them were creative geniuses and had a great team. Just by comparing a Jackie fight scene and a prabhu dance number you can see how many similarities there are in their approaches.

One interesting thing in Prabu Deva choreography I am not sure you noticed, during music interludes, he will choreograph in a way to include a story telling that is totally unrelated to movie or situations.. example in Kathadikudhu kathadikudhu song he would have included ‘Sita abduction story from Ramayana’ You may watch that song again and he does this in most of his song choreography
