Hi, you have inspired me to get my mk1 mr2 from storage after 3 years and hope to do it up. Can you make a video on removing and cleaning distributor. Thanks
@Resto.Nation4 жыл бұрын
Hi mate. That’s great to hear that your going to have a go! I’m on a super tight time scale with this build but if the distributor has to come out for any reason then I will do. A video for sure

You store the T-Bar windows behind the seats. (Not luggage)

Is luggage allowed tho??...

Where are the T bar windows anyway? 😮

I have almost the identical situation, a Mk1A/B (it has elements of both variants) not used since 2007 and just sat on the drive. But this one has 53000 miles and owned by me since 1989. Currently pondering whether to restore or sell.
@Resto.Nation4 жыл бұрын
There is one on eBay that sold today that has the same miles and has been stored for the same amount of time. Different car? Restore if you can?
@steveethelston70474 жыл бұрын
@@Resto.Nation The one on eBay didn't sell, that was mine. I have had offers since the auction ended! The more I think about it, restoration is the way forward. By the way, the strap in the glove-box held the owners folder and various booklets that came with the car. The straps behind the seat held the roof panels. Will be watching your channel with interest

I thought it was a little bit too much of a coincidence! I would say hold onto it and restore mate. From the advert it seems good but needs a bit of welding from memory? It’s been outside exactly the same amount of time as mine. Hopefully my build will give you a push to get yours done too. If your near Bristol and want a hand let me know. Also, if you get to the end of today’s long video I’m giving away some bits for an mr2. You can bag yourself some stuff to bolt on... P.s thanks for the heads up on the straps 😎

@@Resto.Nation Had the restoration guy out to look it over. It's not half as bad as I thought, rust wise. It was just picked up today for a full bodywork restoration and respray. Put a battery on it and everything works just fine. Did you change the brake fluid on your long time standing one?
