the amount of times you said "fuck off, that's massive," amused me to no end

That was very manly handled with that scary monster attack! I especially liked the escalation of hammers in defence of your life.

Great stuff mate. The tank is a nasty job, make sure you only have to do it once....

Just bought a 1988 MK1b for a project and there's a lot in common with this one, but maybe my one is a little worse regarding rust! I'll be watching every one of these videos to try and learn something, cheers for going to the effort to video all the jobs you did!

@@Resto.Nation hey thanks for taking the time to reply! I feel like I'm connecting with a celeb, a celeb that tackles mahoosive creepy crawlies!!! Seriously though all the best, I would think there'll be quite a few questions!

Love you content filming editing and how clearly you speak. I've started an MR2 MK2 project and your videos are giving me a good idea of the work involved.

To bad postage to Belgium will probably cost an arm and a leg. I'm rebuilding an AW11b myself and my callipers are allmost gone. Awesome vids btw, keep it up.

Probably as much as the pads cost haha! I think a guy in the U.K. is having them but if not then I will give you a shout and we can look into it... thanks mate. Next video isn’t far away now.

What spray sealant did you use? Looks like the OEM stuff, I've been using gravitex but it doesn't have that sort of finish. Also lol that spider section :D

Good question, it was a long time ago! From memory it would have been done using a shultz type gun and an under body sealer of some sort.

22:19 I recently just purchased a 1988 MR2 SC, and I have the exact same rust on the opposite side. I live in the US, so technically it’s just a mirror image of the rust you repaired there. Kinda bummed you lost the footage of that repair.
@Resto.Nation4 жыл бұрын
Twotone_RA65 it was only the footage of the inner stiffener. You should be able to replicate it from the existing by making a template 😎. Good luck

Superb series of vids on this MR2 project! What brush-on black satin paint did you use for the front brake parts?
@Resto.Nation4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. It was a high temp engine enamel because that’s what I had to hand but it goes on nice, sits flat and is a one coat job 👍🏻

@@Resto.Nation thanks for reply. Do you know the brand name? I happen to need some so would be happy to check out what you used.
