Great fuel analysis. Simple thing but often overlooked. Takes comparable vehicles with a big consumption delta and that isn't always going to be in play, but when it is, doing this analysis is very helpful. Think as well, typically ownership is 5 years ($700 * 5 = $3,500). For the consumer, that money can essentially be used to justify going up another trim level on the more fuel efficient vehicle

Thanks, though ballpark, I figured it helps visualize the long term ownership (opportunity) costs. More to come!

This is a good review. I wonder why so few views on KZbin compared to other car reviewers. Keep up the good work. Try putting a bit of humor or some sarcasm on your scripts it makes the review experience a bit more memorable

Thanks for the details on the backseat measurements! I have to fit two carseats in the back seat for long distance drives (5-8 hours once a month). One carseat needs to face forward for my leggy 5 year old who loves to kick the back of the drivers seat, and the other carseat needs to go rear facing for the baby. I couldn’t see on other videos exactly which car had more backseat space. It looks like the rear facing carseat will be touching the front passenger seat in the CX-90 if the backseat is all the way forward or the front passenger is reclined just a little. Appreciate these details!

You have one of the few reviews that really focuses on the fuel savings. So many other reviews focus on the space ( or relative lack thereof… and I do mean RELATIVE because the Mazda has enough space for most families) but not on the huge fuel savings. Despite the performance and handling advantages of the CX-90 the fuel savings put the Mazda over the top for me. Also in the real world the Palisade ( and its corporate cousin the Kia Telluride) are almost always marked up $4,000.00 dollars or more over MSRP. I paid under MSRP for my CX-90 PHEV.

Running 91 octane my wife averages 19-20 mpg in a CX-90 340hp model. We live in the city so mostly stop and go type driving.

the money you save on gas with the mazda you're going to lose on electric bill charging it
