I bake mine over 400°f for sure.. I prefer 450 if im in a rush. I also love to bake them till they still slightly stiff then easily peel them and cut them into chips. It gives the best outside crunch inside softness. Just cover in some oil and put back on the baking sheet in the over a little longer. Best chips/fries ever! And no knife peeling.

those removable pan handles are a neat idea for storage but they need to include more than 2 in a set. if your using more than 2 pans you need a handle on each. when i'm stirring something i want a handle on the pan to hold it steady, and i don't want to have to transfer the handle over each time i stir something. and i can see someone accidently hitting the buttons knocking the pan loose at a bad time

I love the idea of the pans, but I personally would avoid Tefal non-stick frying pans. Our last set lasted less than a year before it started peeling. Our new pans (can't remember the brand, possibly Scoville) have a very bumpy texture on the non-stick and they seem to be indestructible. I've even used metal spatulas and spoons and there's not even a mark on them.

Those tefal pans are great, the only thing i would mention is that if you have someone in the house who likes to splash whatever they're cooking all over the place, it is possible for the handles to get a bit "sticky" and not open all the way and the handles aren't dishwasher safe either and the design makes them a little tricky to properly clean but other than that they are good.

A few years ago I read a great tip for getting a crispy skin on a microwave potato. Wash the potato, and while it is still wet coat it in salt. Microwave it, and then brush off the extra salt (to whatever level of saltiness you want) before serving. The skin ends up much tastier. (Not the same as a great oven-baked one, but much closer, and just as fast as microwaving plain).

My mum had those ingenio pans, and they are honestly terrible. The normal pans are fine so long as you've got a stable stove or are only ever using as many pans as you have handles for, but if you've only got a cheap gas hob with thin grates, and you're stirring something in them without the handle on because you're using it on a different pan, the pan will sometimes tilt over (admitedly this is mostly the fault of the hob) and because there's no handle you've got nothing to keep it stable or catch it with that won't burn you. Then when it comes to the frying pans, we found the handles absolutely destroyed the non stick within a month or two. same way you're not mean to use metal spoons on non stick, you shouldn't use those handles on them. once the non-stick gets damaged and starts to peel away it's basically just scrap metal at that point because it's not safe to use due to the toxins in the non stick coating. And that's before you get to the issue of stacking non-stick pans on top of each other. definitely get some of those fabric pan separators if you're going to do that. I like Tefal's stuff, but these pans are honestly just such a dumb idea and massively over-priced (even with the discount) considering you only get one or two handles. Go and buy the same amount of pans in the ComfortMax range. better quality, all have their own handles, you can still stack them fairly easily, and you'll save £100 from the discounted price of the ingenios. It's solving a problem nobody really has (i know you're trying to sell them because it's an ad, but taking 10 random pans out of your cupboard and replacing it with 5 and going "whoa! look how much space there is now" is really disingenuous) and charging you a premium for it.

I have the Ingenio pans and they're great but the handles are poorly designed. Great idea, but if on gas hobs you have to be super careful about not leaving them on the pan in case they melt/smoulder (the plastic doesn't catch fire as such, just becomes super dry and crumbly). Other than that the benefits of space saving and hob safety (accidentally leaving a metal handle over a flame and then trying to grab it...) are pretty great.

Those clip on handles are flammable, just so you know; plastic will pop, crack and smoke. Probably doesn't matter for induction hobs. They scratch the pans up and remove any protective coating it has; non-issue for steel pan, I guess. We've had some (also Tefal) for years and finally threw them out; replaced with a set from ProCook. The Tefal lids are made so that you can put them inside the pots for space saving: big pan sat on big lid, medium lid inside big pan, medium pan sat on medium lid, small lid inside medium pan, small lid sat on small lid. Great for space saving, can be pain in the arse if you want the pan and lid that's in the middle of the stack.

We have those Tefal pans to save space too and they're mostly awesome... But those handles aren't great. They're difficult to clean (while following the limiting instructions) and incredibly fragile. We're currently just using one of them because the other is stuck closed. So great for small spaces, being able to put them in the oven is really helpful... But it feels like a design that could be improved greatly.

Pyrex/corning used the interchangeable handle concept 80yrs ago. It has a major flaw. Lose the handles and your cookware is useless. You can also see the metal clamp in the handle has already scratched the side of your fry pan. I bet they will scrape the real coating off the pans over time making them unusable.

I still drive with a choke, I’ve got a really old Land Rover defender, my parents had a farm while I was growing up, I learnt to drive in it, learnt to repair it, everything. It can’t quite reach 60, so motorways aren’t fun, but that aside it’s brilliant. Sure, everyone else’s car is comfortable and quiet, dry when it rains etc, but mine costs a pittance in comparison to run and keep on the road, and since I fitted my own exhaust filter, cleaner too!

Pasta horror story. Invited a guest to stay in my house. Offered to cook him pasta, but he said he would do it. He boiled the water and threw the pasta in. 45 minutes later, he scooped out the mush and ate it. Tried unsuccessfully to tell him that it only needed about 10 minutes. The siggt and smell is what still gets me. It was beyond disgusting.

Or Barry get this, you don’t nibble of the entire piece of spaghetti only a teeny piece and then stick it back in and let the remaining spaghetti cook longer 😆

I have the smaller pack of those pans (1 frypan, a large and small pot, plus a small and large lid for the stove and fridge). It only comes with one handle, but was a bit more affordable and I have loved it for like a year now! Super useful!

Here's a pasta horror story for you (I figure I owe you for the troll-ish comments): A bunch of us 8th graders were in Canada on a camping trip, and the adults in charge of the food started cooking the big group-sized package of freeze- dried Beef Stroganoff with noodles a bit too soon, left it cooking until the noodles completely dissolved, then tried to save it by adding a big pouch of Instant Mashed Potatoes. It wasn't very good, just kind of a meat-flavored salty paste; and every one of us was constipated for several days. I haven't been able to eat over-cooked pasta since.

My ex tried making some pasta ( in a nonstick pot). The issue was that he worked B shift and for whatever reason was extremely tired this particular evening. He fell asleep (passed out hard) and left it going, everyone in the house was already asleep in their rooms……. I woke to the smoke alarms 🚨 going off (thank goodness!) and about 4 feet of THICK smoke from the ceiling down. Managed to find my way to the kitchen from my bedroom and throw said pot of now BLACK pasta out of the sliding glass door!!! Got my son (age 7 at the time) out of the home and then went back in and opened the windows and other doors….. Probably shouldn’t have as I was 16 weeks pregnant, but that’s not a story for here.

i'm a bit concerned about that Tefal handle, with the part of the clip that contacts the non-stick surface being metal but as i've learnt from Uncle Roger's videos, Brits seem to like scraping their non-sticks with metal....

That threw me, I thought Tefal was a clone of our T-fal in the U.S., but they are the same company. Re: cars with a choke, the first car I bought was a 1973 Plymouth. It had a choke on the dashboard, also the high beam lamps were controlled by a foot switch as were the windscreen squirters right next to it. You can imagine how well THAT worked.

I have the same ingenio induction set (the all non stick set) for the past 2 years! Best purchase ever! Space saving, still in brilliant condition after 2 years, the handles can hold like 10 kilos, use them in the oven! What’s not to love! I haven’t and wouldn’t put them in the dishwasher though just in case (even though they are apparently dishwasher safe!) 😂

Hah the nutzoom thing reminds of our idea: I was given some pens for my colouring books, that came in a bus with wheels. Pens are either used and thrown out, or in a different box. What to use the bus for.... I ended up putting nut mix in it. Now we drive it around on the living room table. Me and partner recently moved together so we try to have healthy snacks in front of us. Also, house rule, if the bus cannot drive on the table, time to declutter!! Right now it's stuck in traffic between some dry skin cream and several iced coffees. Also, if I knew you wanted a SHOVEL, I would have sent you mine. I found in it a deceased relatives silverware drawer (which another relative OH SO GENEROUSLY emptied before I came!), but it isnt silver? It's in a cardboard box with felt in it, very fancy, but has no name and marks whatsoever - except "Japan"? It seems like the handle could be used as a bottle opener, havent tried, so unsure if that's the purpose. But I guess it can be eaten with, as it is some type of metal, should be safe?!

I’m a little sad to see that this cookware set isn’t available in Canada. Ugh! I’m always complaining about lack of cupboard space, these would be perfect. I have enough room for these and my cast iron.

For my early Christmas pressie I used the Tefal code to buy myself a full set of pans - which were already in their sale - so, all in all I saved about £200!! Thank you so much Barry. 🤩

I haven't read the comments, but I think what you called the plunger for the 3-in-1 thing should cover the corn stripper blade and it (the plunger) becomes the central part for juicing on. Maybe.
