Dear Sasha, actually yes, you CAN defend yourself against a coyote with a switchblade. Its not ideal at all but it worked for me when 2 big ones ran at my dog. Shes 30lbs, i picked her up real fast and opened my Microtech OTF fast and swung across at it. As the first pitched a loud whine and backed off. Direct slash. The 2nd one didnt approach after. I let it be since they took off. If it came at me again i wouldve buried it in its neck. Im holding my insane, small- medium sized maniac of a dog on my shoulder with one arm throughout the incident and she wanted a piece of that coyote. Shes not big but shes tough. At 1.5yrs old she gave birth to 5 Labrador/border collie (with a bit of cocker spaniel). Theyre all giants now. At 2 she ran to attack a passing car and was hit breaking her rear left leg. Shes fearless but shes not a pitty. My last 2 dogs were pittys. Quite a massive difference. Anyway, ya, if your fast enough and strike hard anything can save you. If you get bit you HAVE to make the ki11. It could be rabid and you gotta take it to a vet or call animal control to remove it. If you contracted rabies you better dam sure get those shots. They suck man, but rabies sucks much worse.

without spoiling the story too much i just want to say that the cat survives. in case anyone wants to watch but is scared that the cat dies. im writing my thoughts on the story under the "read more..." so i don't spoil the story for someone sasha and op dont fit together at all, sasha is cranky and a bit selfish and op doesn't understand that no means no. love the story hate the two main characters. i hate that op saves the kid and then gives them the cat and the parents get mad and just ghosts them, even though they should be mad at the cops. i love that the pedo got killed by the cat thing. and i love that the cat and the kid was ok. not all cops and authorities suck but when they do they really do, they let shit like this happen and then do nothing about it and i love that they show that in this story for example my dad was (and still is) a pos and a pedo and even though i have told the proper authorities he's still free. stuff like this happens all the time just not with cryptids lol

Girlfriend knows narrator has a history of mixing fiction with reality so her scepticism is entirely warranted, farmer was trying to get the stupid city kids to go home and be safe from what he knew to be something dangerous, so he gave excuses of natural kind.
