I love binge watching all of my favorites and mre's I would love to try. I have been lucky to try so many. Gundog..you are excited like me when I get into these awesome rations. Like a kid in a candy store exploring new flavors and delightful food. This ration is so highly coveted..Want..want..lol

That's a huge amount of good looking food! Looking forward to the Turkish coffee apparatus. Mmm those breakfast wraps looked good. Had high hopes for that heater too bad it wasn't as good as I expected. Lunch looked great. Love the idea of the tomato soup as a sauce. I'm with you I love buckwheat so dinner was the best meal. I think that yogurt as a sauce would be great. Loved this review your excitement was catching and the ration was excellent so very fun to watch. Nicely done gundog

You would really enjoy it. Snag a "boil in the bag" buckwheat on amazon, add spice a little chicken and a thin coat of tomato soup......DROOL

This is one of the most interesting rations I've seen for a long time. Looks like a high quality. Such unusual components like the cheese, the concept of the sauces for the main dishes - what a great idea. And I was surprised by the buckwheat dish - I didn't think it is used in Turkey. I'd be happy to buy such ration in a shop. Thanks Gundog for a great review !

I did to. Was actually a decent cup of coffee too. I enjoyed the whole thing other than the protein bar, which was okay. Those soup "sauces" are freakin genius. Other countries could learn something from that. Looking forward to seeing more from Morning Wood

Gundog, have you ever thought of using a scissors? It would make things a lot simpler, easier and faster for you. When I was in the Army I carried a small scissors with me in the field to open my MREs. Much better than tearing everything open.

Yeahm it called for 175 ml, I only used about 125 ml. I think 50 or a touch less would have been about right. It was packed full a flavor nonetheless

Actually the cap is there to keep the stuff in as honey is one of the few products to never go stale. If honey is left for a long time and goes funny looking, put it in warm water and it'll go back to normal eventually.

That filtered coffee must have been sooooooooo delicious. Interesting rations for the lunch and the dinner. I have never tried red pepper flack. I do like a little pepper when I am cooking, and I will have to see if I can get the red pepper flake somewhere. Nice video Gundog.

I have done my duty in the army in turkey for 15 months . I want to be honest with u that lavaş didnt smell good the taste was a little bit sour 😂 . Now i watched ur great video i was wondering did u also smell and taste the same as me ? They really improved last years the MRE so thats good . But ok i thought the army had different kind of MRE then ta-da but a lot of simular things .

That was a super interesting one and the lunch entree made me so hungry. I wonder how yummy it would be if you threw the tomato soup powder in with the entree and added the regular amount of water.. oh and maybe the red pepper flakes as well. This was super yummy stuff. I think if you just ate it plain, it would be one of those "Meh" type of meals, but add that soup, seasoning and heat. HELLO Happy Stomach!

Far as the coffee goes it would be so much simpler if it was just a tea bag you can steep. Wish US mre's did that or a major coffee maker here in general for camping etc

Jimmie Burleigh I am talking about ground coffee inside a “teabag” - on a string! (not the disc which I’ve also seen). The teabag style design yields a pretty dang good cup of coffee in just a few minutes. Easy to pack, easy to use, reasonable price. - EDIT: I just looked at Google and found the coffee “tea” bags are available at WalMart $8.68 for 38 bags. Maybe you could order online...?

I know how good honey is - however, I've always found it way, way too sweet for my taste, and, even worse, the smell of it turns my stomach - we had a small spill at home, which I had to clean up, because honey has a tendency to 'wander' - a small spill, will, in a short while, be transferred to every other item in a cupboard. It took me about ten minutes to do, six of which were used up by me having to go to the bathroom to be sick because of the smell. I've cleaned out parts of a slaughterhouse, and not felt as sick as that.

Turkey is probably Turkeys national symbol like the bald eagle is ares so they put it in are military meal. we would do the same thing but we wouldn't have enough bald eagles to go around.

Yo gundog actually unifood makes the military version of the ration , it comes in 4 types , Ta!Da! makes it as Civilian version . But you can buy it if you contact with them in email . Cheers.

The legit ration has most of the same internal stuff but the outer bag is a olive green square with black writing.

I agree with you which is why I try to keep them to about the 10 min-ish time but this was to complex with the prep stuff that cutting it down more would lose a lot of the tricks and tips others that snag one of these may want to know. Cheers
