they are an incredible band with only 2 members and are just unbelievable very good, this band is really big on mental health and has save thousands of us fans. their first album “twenty one pilots” plays a big roll in that along with the singers religion. it was always like a cry for help. like the song “trees” the singer was about 17 when he made that song if i’m not wrong and that is the song very powerful and good. same with addict with a pen, taxi cab, before you start your day…it’s all good. but besides that i highly recommend their album trench.. amazing sound amazing songs. this band is a rollercoaster of emotions.

I just watched this again and it is still amazing. I'm 51 and when my daughter introduced me to TOP I was taken aback. Tyler was able to put into words what I have felt all of my life. I realized that I am not alone. That is why I wil always be grateful to this band. If they can save one life, that is immeasurable. We don't have to suffer in silence anymore!

Amazing song. Tyler suffers from anxiety and depression especially at night. If you look deep in his lyrics you can often find references of this. Thanks for getting to this. I knew your reaction would be interesting and you did not disappoint sir. Respect.

@@deejayturtle Thank you for suggesting this song. I so desperately wish that this song was bigger (more popular) because the message in this song is so powerful, so important, and so brilliantly written. (as is everything Tyler Joseph creates) I may be biased though because their song Truce literally saved my life.

Great reaction - and an amazing track! The label didn’t want this on the album but Tyler and Josh pushed back and insisted. I’m glad they did, it’s a really powerful piece of writing. They have a lot of music dealing with suicide, self harm, depression, anxiety etc. And you’re correct, the music does sound light hearted and upbeat, but if you dial into the lyrics, they usually tell a different story. Migraine (dealing with Tyler’s depression) or Guns for Hands (dealing with self harm) would be great next!
@girlwithnoname9562 жыл бұрын
This exactly. They always have an important message to speak on, but sometimes missed due to extensive use of metaphors. This time, the message is in your face obvious.
@twentynepiltsfangrl93962 жыл бұрын
Tyler Joseph (the singer, songwriter) struggles heavy with anxiety, depression, suicide, and self harm so a lot of their music touches on mental illness. Their mantra is "Stay alive it's worth it I promise" - Tyler Joseph. This band saved my life and thousands of others. At their concerts people just scream you saved my life and hold up signs that say you saved my life, thank you, and we still need you. It's really really an amazing experience unlike any other experience. God bless you.

My daughter introduced me to Twenty One Pilots years ago! This song sent me to ... this single mom worked a lot of extra hours to be able to spend hundreds of dollars for 3 concert tickets. Just because my kid loved them. How many days before the Denver concert were we saying goodbye to Chester? Like the commenter Jordan Reinke wrote a few days ago, “This gave me fkn chills”. Interesting analysis, my take was always that it's based on the poor treatment of war veterans in the USA. Turning war losses in to a win and celebrating the many many deaths caused by poor management, including those soldiers who take their own life after the country they fought for refuse to take proper care of them
