This is gold. There's a million muscle up tutorials on YT, but you're the only one introducing people to monkey bars and presenting different swinging techniques. Thank you 👏

Stay safe 🙏🏼🦍💪🏼

What are dimensions of the bars you use in the beginning on the video. They seem like your "home" bars
@rikkinetic3 ай бұрын
Ha ha yes, definitely my home bars 🐒 I don’t know and I’d be guessing! The bars are quite thick. There’s a plaque with the manufacturers website www.proludic.fr Maybe you can find out from there 🤷🏼♂️

Thanks for another Great video. Injuries are a part of it. But I would say an ugly part. Resting and taking time off is very frustrating and takes a lot of patience. I have had injuries from rock climbing and doing monkey bars. But I am one of the luckier ones. The longest I have been sideline was 2 months. Good luck and keep up the Great work and more videos.

Thanks John 🙏🏼 yes it’s about the 2 month mark for me now but thankfully I am regaining all the time so hopefully will return back to everything fully soon enough!

@@rikkinetic So glad that you are recovering. It was great you were able to complete the monkey bars at Rat race. That was a goal that you had for a long time. Are you going to try for the one at the Nuclear race. Happy to say that in June I was able to complete my 100 yards on the monkey Bars, It was 111yards to make it better. This was a long standing goal that took a few years.

Awesome stuff 💪🏼 Ha ha I may have another go on those at some point! Takes a lot of specific training 🐒 but it would be good to finish them
@johnschaechter3 ай бұрын
@@rikkinetic It sounds like the Rat race had the longer monkey bars.But do you find the nuclear tougher? Would it be the bar texture or how they are spread between each rung?
@rikkinetic3 ай бұрын
@@johnschaechter it’s difficult for me to say which was actually tougher because my training was different leading up to each and the conditions were very different! I had about 2 months of specific endurance training behind me going into Rat Race whereas I’d only done a couple of sessions before nuclear! Plus it was a very cold day, freezing or slightly below, which is far from ideal with the metal bars at nuclear! Rat Race the conditions were perfect! So yes, as my performance on each would suggest, nuclear felt harder for me. But it wouldn’t be a fair comparison
