@@rikkineticThere are people who are literally EXTREME at calisthenics when they are 90 look at the search bar and type 80 year old calisthenics legends there are people aged 75 to 95 and they are pretty impressing because they are even better than teenagers aged 16 with their social media followers haha but it is true though

Its actually usually never too late or old for calisthenistics because its own bodyweight but when you look at the weight lifting there still are many people but in calisthenistics it is less challenging for the body because theres not too many force on the bones and actually not even any force when its the muscles lifting themselves

Those outdoor gyms and kids play areas are for me. I work in a gym that has such a wide range of kit and machine incl strongman items sleds tyres etc, I prefer the outdoor fresh air workouts.

The strongman stuff is good too ✋🏼🤚🏼 Yes it’s hard to beat an outdoor workout 😎💪🏼

One of your most versatile videos, like a Best-Of. So many different locations, exercises and techniques shown in those 8 minutes. I very much enjoyed watching.

Another thing is how friendly and happy the calisthenics crowd are. Go to any cali park and everyone's more than happy to have a chat and give you some of their time. A real good community. Reminds me of what the spit and sawdust gyms used to be like in the early 2000s before they got commercialised and "instagramable", now filled with pure ego and pretentiousness.

What are those two straps you use when doing the climbs and getting into the handstand? Are they a good alternative to rope as some sort of rope climbing is something I'd like to start adding to my training.
@rikkinetic2 ай бұрын
Those are Kevoslings They are a loop which makes them versatile enough to do rope climbs and pulls but also to be used as a suspension trainer! It’s a 2 metre loop. You can use lifting slings for the same purpose
@gibbson1302 ай бұрын
@@rikkinetic that's great thank you. 2 meters would be 4 meter total length right? Think I'll order one as I train at the local outdoor cali park and my bag is packed with my current calisthenics gear. They look easy enough just to loop around the body a few times for transport.
@rikkinetic2 ай бұрын
No it should be marked as 2 metres but yes because it’s looped it is actually 4 metres!
@rikkinetic2 ай бұрын
Yes they are very useful for this sort of training 👌🏼
