I am very senior and I am addicted to Band Maid. They are all exceptional musicians and all contribute to the finished song BUT what I can't understand is how Kiname, the mildest, modest young woman you could meet has the ability to turn out hard rock masterpieces. Her drive and riff creation are exceptional I - know a guitarist of exceptional ability who was open mouthed the first time he heard her -and she can shred with the best. And tapping? How do you learn that. And her usual comment before a show -'I will try to do my best'!! Eat your heart out rappers.

JIMMY PAGE OF ( LED ZEPPELIN ) loves this band. He met the group back stage and asked if he could have his picture taken with the drummer( AKANE ) she thought it was a dream ( it was not ) a rock legend like that giving props to the girls, how awesome is that.Jimmy Page( LED ZEPPELIN) just after seeing the band play in Tokyo in 2016. Yeah... First look at Puzzle live from the same show (Shinkiba Studio Coast, November 27, 2017, "normal" version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYDYgGOmnKh1i9E ), and then acoustic version from the ZEPP Tokyo show on April 13, 2018: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpXaf6Cwp5Kcps0 Puzzle does not include any solos or other fancy stuff, it's just a heart-rending story, which draws you in, even if you don't understand the words. One of the very few songs where Akane the Drummer does not smile. Lyrics are available, but I was not able to find a subbed version, sorry. BAND-MAID - Puzzle Lyrics: Miku Kobato Song: BAND-MAID Translator: Kafka When you said “Nice to meet you.”, It’s like hearing a puzzle piece fell into place. Although I certainly don’t remember but that’s fine with me. You’ve given my light a place, Amidst the melancholic darkness. Don’t ever lose that innocent smile, Even if my love will render futile. I don’t mind how you prioritize me. Hey…those are just lies. I can’t see nor know, All I feel is pain. But I long for the truth, So I can’t just resist it. Just for the meantime, Go and get encroached. There’s no stopping once I voice out Knowing that, you embraced her. It won’t hurt for you two to go outside. That’s only my wish. Like sweetly melting candy, Someday you’ll disappear, too. Your sneaky stare and scent will only remain. but that’s fine with me. On this lonesome night, I wonder where are you and what’re you doing? The harder I think about it, the more I can’t sleep. I can’t say that’s selfish, Since such a good girl is waiting for you. The answer should obvious by now. I can’t do it or even say it, Actually I know That holding isn’t permitted. But you softly touched me With your finger, no doubt about it. I felt love along with it, So don’t do things like apologize. Do enchant me and I will avert my eyes. I’m addicted to this incurable wound as it deepens more. I’m still falling for you. Useless lighters, The lined up glasses, The new clothes, Don’t cry, those are your remnants. I can’t see the end to it, All I want is to dream of you. Will I ever wake up? Don’t cry, let me believe in them. I can’t see nor know, All I feel is pain. But I long for the truth, So I can’t just resist it. Just for the meantime, Go and get encroached. There’s no stopping once I voice out Knowing that, you embraced her. It won’t hurt for you two to go outside. That’s only my wish. The puzzle is crumbling, It’s like the memories won’t go away. My eyes are still closed. I’m still falling for you.

It is not that uncommon to have an amazing drummer, an amazing lead guitarist, a very good singer, great songwriting, nice harmonies. But it is very rare for the bassist to be able to carry any and all parts of a song, and make major contributions to the melody. When it comes to ability to contribute to the song, MISA is going to be there with Flea, Cliff Burton, Lemmy Kilmister, John Entwistle, Geddy Lee, Les Claypool.

Drummer, Akane Hirose, nickname is "Gorilla" bcause during breaks she always feeds on a banana.
@VladimirChupin5 жыл бұрын
I think she's Gorilla rather because of her ability to drum equally with hands and feet 😁 As if she has four hands. Her kick drum rolls are so amazing, it's not just steady rhythm, as many drummers usually do it. And the complexity of her percussion is so great that she herself initially thought each time, "It's not for humans to perform." But then, each time, she was rising to the challenge, and the girls were joking, that she's not human, then. Well, initially Miku judged that it's 50/50, "half-human," but people usually tend to avoid uncertainties, so, instead of "Half-Gorilla", she is now fully Gorilla.

Okay, dude. Just a quick explanation about Live Band Maid so you can pick out things and enjoy even more. The cutie in twin tails singing is Miku (Mee-koo) and she’s the one laying down those tasty, crunchy as f$&k licks into your left ear and Kanami (Kah-nah-mee) is the musical genius on lead guitar blistering your right ear. It’s just as you see them onstage! Akane (Ah-kah-nay) is half gorilla beating the shit out of the drums with a smile. MISA (Mee-sah) bass assassin and Saiki (Sigh-kee) enslaving men and women alike with a microphone and piercing eyes. You’re gonna love all this. I agree you should watch the MV for Don’t You Tell Me before the Live version. It shows you the ladies’ personalities in the scenes. Dude! If Band-Maid doesn't come to Atlanta this year, you gotta join other Maidiacs in NYC, Dallas or wherever else they schedule a stop - no excuses: fans came from as far away as Belorus & Japan in 2019.

@@NewAeonWarlord they just had a free live online concert last week... They're finding a new fan base on YT now... Dunno how things would have turned out if YT was around 30 years ago, but at least they're getting some respect now

One of the things i really love about MISA is she will mix up playing with a pick and her fingers in the same damn song. I personally can't think of another bassist who does that.
